Of course, extra sessions are always a possibility. But it doesn't matter. HotS campaign must be finally over. That's it. Wheter it is failed, genius, surprinsing or a disappointment, the story, the narrative, it is all finished. Personally, I disliked WoL's story and narrative; but I loved Robert Clotworthy's acting. Regardless HotS campaign is a tale worthy of our expectations or not, I wonder if Helfer is delivering a job as good as Clotworthy's; if she and her character are going to be the new face of Starcraft II, or if they will not be able to outmatch Robert and Raynor's presence and popularity; if she will be as open to interviews and to the community, and if she will give us interesting insight on her character as Clotworthy did. This, of course, means nothing to us: the Beta will probably launch early summer as expected, but it will last as long as the developers want it to last. We will only know what HotS single player is like when they let us know. But hey. They still have the CDev Q&A on their sleeve. I wonder if they will release it during Beta, during Anaheim, or whenever the interest of the community seem to fade away a little. And it may come with more information on the campaign. If the 2 single player missions are playable at Anaheim, we may find out if anything else changed. Still, I want to know, what are your thoughts on Helfer? I never watched Battlestar Gallactica, and I think that there's no way to tell how good she is from her role in WoL. Except for the fight against Zeratul, where she doesn't disappoint at all. What do you think?

Additionally, if you see the buttons just below the top banner, there's one which says "HotS Contest" with a "NEW!" tag beside it; if you click it, you'll see that TL is giving people from June 8 to June 20 to write blog reviews of what they see at MLG.

What do you think? She is not bad on the eyes, wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers, and plays a good anti-hero on TV dramas. In other news about HoS - SC2: Flashpoint will be released on 11.6.2012. Doing some date math, SC2 Heaven's Devils came out on April 8th 2012, and SC2 was released on July 27th... so it is possible that for my birthday in late January, we could have an expansion if not sooner. In other news about HoS - SC2: Flashpoint will be released on 11.6.2012. You mean this week? Geez. I mean, Heaven's Devils plot was about Jimmy's youth, and that was clear since the beginning. Now Flashpoint description, I always thought it was just a placeholder until they could be more open about what happens in HotS. The Queen of Blades is gone. On the hellish planet Char, Jim Raynor harnessed the power of an ancient Xel’Naga artifact in a desperate bid to stop the zerg Swarm from overrunning the Koprulu sector, and the relic restored Sarah Kerrigan to her human form. Without their queen to guide and unify them, the Swarm has fractured into several broods scattered throughout the Koprulu sector. One of the greatest threats to the galaxy has been neutralized...or so it seems. Sarah Kerrigan is on the loose. Even without the terrible powers of the Queen of Blades or the might of the Swarm at her command, the former Ghost remains a foe not to be taken lightly. But if the artifact really did set her free, then why is Kerrigan seeking out zerg broods scattered throughout the Koprulu sector? Is she still pursuing her quest for vengeance, or has her transformation given Kerrigan a new purpose? Just who is Sarah Kerrigan? You see, this is nothing but HotS - tha game expansion - description on Blizz site. So what is going on here? If this description is a placeholder, than we will only find out what the book really is about on June 11th. The book cover has Kerrigan with human red hair. Maybe the book is about her youth as a rebel? What is there in her past Uprising haven't told us yet? Seems possible that the description is really about the book. So, the book would be telling what happens just before HotS. In other words, some relevant stuff would be going on between 2504 and 2506. I always see the HotS trailer as she has been de-infested for no more than weeks or months and is yet getting used to a new life. But than there's the 2 years gap... if the book is really a story of her actions during those 2 years, she probably gets used to her new identity as human and Raynor's sidekick. Maybe she gave up on the Swarm, and the only thing that makes her go back is the attack on the Hyperion. I'm intrigued. Is Blizzard putting more and more relevant lore in the books? Maybe this is a commercial decision, maybe they want to be strong in the book/comic market as well? I don't like this idea.

I reacted to a post on a BlizPlanet that announced the release date. OT: I have to say I like Blizzards recent books and their in-game "cinematics" when they do CGI rendering is some of the best in the business. Makes me wish they would do their own movie or weekly web series. Looking forward to HotS

So they still have time to change to description. Haha. Oh, in this case forget about everything I said ![]() Kidding, some of what I said is still salvageable. The new novel probably is about the 2504-2506 period because, after Uprising and Hybrid, what other periods of Kerrigan's life could be portrayed? Maybe her "intimate" life as the Queen of Blades? The 2500-2504 period? As the title is "Flashpoint", maybe we see a lot of different periods of her life. In the other hand, the first title was "Secret Missions". So maybe we will know things of Confederate/'Daughter' of Korhal Kerrigan we didn't know before? Retcon haters be prepared... So on a second thought, yes: in these 2 years, Kerrigan probably developed an identity with the Hyperion crew. But no, the book isn't necessarily about this period, so it is probably not that crucial to read the book to understand the game... anyway, the games do seem more and more dependent of the books.
