The beta better be like 9+ months long and near completely balanced before they release it. I also hope they give out the beta access right this time so the balance testing and feedback isn't corrupted by newbies. IE: If you're top 1k in your region (or even just masters), automatically get beta. If you have an active wow account and more than 1 max level character, automatically banned from beta forever.

WoL brought us something completely new about Jim Raynor: we saw him in a state of grieve and despair we wouldn't expect from the BW character; then we could see his redemption. Kerrigan, she has been trough a lot. She is almost a brand new character. But I expect her to be consistent with Sarah Kerrigan from Episode I and with the Queen of Blades. I'm really not that interested on what's going to happen with the Hybrids, or the Dominion, but I want too see how all those personal sagas develop. EDIT: here guys. A pretty nice Dustin Browder interview (from May) so you can calm yourselves.

@Denda: I'm sorry to hear that you're bored. Blizzard isn't necessarily hasty with their games' releases.

Blizzard understands the power of their fansite communities which is why Blizzard heavily supports these fansites in the first place and why so many exist today.

Browder mentioned there are like 2 or 3 missions before War for the Brood. I'll bet the first mission is the one you're on Hyperion's floor, defending it against Dominion drop pods. I was told that the zergling upgrades demonstration videos showed them in instalattion tilesets. Just like firebats upgrades were shown being used in Agria, for example. (can you confirm, stebo?) Does this mean you get zerglings to control even inside Hyperion/the lab? Since we see no zerglings running along Sarah in the ship-floor tyleset, does this mean we have more than one instalattion mission in the beginning of the campaign? Also, if there was no tutorial talk from Ishza about macroing the Hive in War for the Brood, maybe there is a macro mission before the hands-on missions. Maybe the dropship is carrying Kerrigan to this planet that isn't Char; she is running away because Raynor has been overrun by Dominion forces. She lands in this planet, there are Zergs there, she controls them, macro a hive for survival and somehow Ishza ans Abathur find her... or maybe they rescue her in outer space? Who is Sarah Kerrigan? ![]()

I don't remember if it was instillation tilesets. Durring the demo the only units we got to unlock and experiment for mutation was the Zergling, Baneling and Roach.(can you confirm, stebo?)

I hate the blizzard writers with the passion of 1000 suns, I miss my broodwar queen of the bitches I don't understand why you are upset. How is she being 'nice'? In the demo of HotS, she practically wipes out an entire Protoss colony on Kaldir. The only 'nice' thing she did was spare the lives of a few Protoss because according to her they were no threat to her. That sounds familiar actually, just like how Kerrigan spared the lives of Raynor's Raiders on Char durring the Great War mission "Agent of the Swarm." She told Jim to leave Char and never come back instead of killing him and his men.

"How many good people you have to kill?' "The killing will never stop... till Mengsk is dead" Kerrigan is making prisioners; this is new. But I don't think she is "nicer", it's quite the opposite. The Queen of Blades was the "queen bitch of the Universe", but the Queen of Blades is gone. Good ol Sarah is what was left. But this isn't the idealist, young, naive Sarah from Rebel Yell. She may not remember what she done, but amnesia is funny. Sometimes the patient can't even remember who he is, but his habits and personality and unchanged. Memory and habits/personality are different things. The "zergy" component of her persona is out. I believe she doesn't have the lust to kill anymore. But no way that is the Sarah Kerrigan who was against unleashing Zerg on people... Something obviously changed about her. She sounds bitter, violent, and treats her minions agressively when they say they could change sides if someone bigger than her appears. Maybe years of genocide, deity like powers, and authority, changed her personality forever. But I'm thinking about something funny. Sarah Kerrigan was very uncomfortable with Zerg, because she was used in those Confederate experiments. How will she feel now, the only human among billions of zerg creatures?

I believe it was something they were saving for LotV, but they decided to use it in WoL. Wasn't a surprise for me, but I think they kind of wasted an opportunity to do a much better revelation. But maybe it was the right choice. So when Tassadar is back in LotV people won't be so shocked. Blizzard fans apparently don't like surprises.

I think its more of Blizzard fans not really being that hardcore when it comes to lore hounding. They play the game and that is their only source of lore, there are tons more of lore that the StarCraft Universe has that isn't bottled up into the game, reading some books is always a treat.
