If you're aiming to obtain the achievements, I would suggest doing a series of missions without spending anything, save, and then buy out a tech tree. Once you do that, just reload the game from that same point and buy the next tree, and so on until you get the achievements. If you just want everything for the sake of having everything and don't need the achievements, I believe the cheat code, 'whysoserious' will grant you 1 million credits which you can spend at your pleasure.

![]() So there's no way of getting all the research achievements unless you replayed the mission, didn't spend anything, saved, bought all of one thing at once, and then rinse/repeat?

if all you want are achievements, then save your money until a point that you can spend it and get all the different upgrades and/or mercenaries. You don't have to wait until char to do it, you can do it before then.

2 - (what I did) Save alot of credits and then just spend everything to get one set of upgrades. Reload and do it again.

And if you wanted it to be super easy, play on "Easy" and then only buy the medic/marine upgrades for most of the game and then save when you got around 1.1M ( buy all the upgrades you want? ) and then load the save file and repeat a few times till you get them all...

Mission order is also something to play around with. It's kind of ridiculous how some upgrades and units change certain missions. This especially affects the side-campaigns, which you normally tend to do earlier rather than later. Gunning for Xil early is quite an egregious example, because Siege tanks make some of the side quest missions a curb stomp.

I had spent my cash throughout the campaign so I did that to get enough for the buy/load/buy thing.

To my knowledge I don't think the patch is changing anything, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Leftover research points can still be sold by going to the research module after maxing each tree, 10,000 credits per I think. This is what I had to do in order to get it, I was able to do it in just a couple of hours though.
