So, I have completed the whole campaign, but I cant seem to find this mission to finish. It is supposed to be under the Rebellion section (at least that's where the achievements are), but I cant see it.
Did I have to do something special to unlock it in game? Will I be able to complete it even if it isnt on my archived list?
Thanks
*****EDIT: TO ACCESS THIS MISSION YOU NEED TO KILL THE SCIENCE FACILITY IN THE SOUTH EAST OF THE MAP ON THE "MEDIA BLITZ" MISSION. IT WILL THEN BE UNLOCKED WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE STAR MAP ON THE SHIP.
If you have already finished the game - you will need to play through the campaign again if you want to unlock this mission - and its awesome lore, so I recommend it.

I have some similar problems. It says i've done 21 of 26 missions, (there are just 3 undone) AND -> some achievements need 29 missions, wtf?!
|
So, I just went back to a Saved game that I saved before I went to Char - and there was nothing anywhere for me to clickon for a mission. :-/

Same here, can't find that mission

Go back and beat everything faster... a la The Reckoning. Maybe you need the extras on each level? Or even other unlisted secrets.
I may or may not know something.

Ok, I have, looked all over for it and cant find it. I went back and played missions 5-16 again on normal to make sure I didnt miss anything and I cant find it. I made sure I did every secondary objective also.
I am going to head to sleep and hopefully someone has some information :-/

Some of those missing ones could be missions where you have to make a decision who you help. I've had 2 of them so far.

This is a secret mission, in Media Blitz destroy the sience facility in the south east, voila you get the mission unlocked.

Where do you select the mission?

I don't think you can unlock it if you've already beaten campaign. I tried, went back and got it, and it wasn't available on the missions screen, so I had to reload from a Media Blitz save and do it there. T_T

Yeah, you have to do it normally, you can't do it through archive.

On the bridge of the Hyperion, there is a console right above Horner for that. You can check all your missions there, times, movies, etc.

I was wondering what the "secret" was once you complete Media Blitz.
That kinda sucks that you have to play through everything again if you didn't get it the first time

Confirmed, you need to play through the campaign again if you want to unlock this mission - and its awesome lore, so I recommend it.

So if i want to unlock Kerrigan portrait i need to play all missions on brutal again?

No, you just need to beat that one level on brutal
|
Play thru on easy to unlock it, then do the single mission on brutal.
|
What happens to the "old campaign" if I start a new one?
Anyone have managed to unlock after completing the game yet?
|
It dissapears when u start a new one xzidez, i did it yesterday.
|
EDIT:
You can play it without starting a new campaign. Just load up any mission thats still on the hyperion. Finish it. Pick media blitz and do it. When you come back to the hyperion its there.
No idea if the campaign gets fucked up or anything yet. But ill see after ive done it. At least you dont have to play through the entire game again..
Edit 2: Ok you will ruin your campaign. but at least you dont have to replay it all..

I've gone back to a save before media blitz, but it just takes me to mission archive once I'm done and not back to the ship, any ideas?
|
No need to restart campaign. Just go to mission archives and unlock. It will show up on your star map.
|
edit nevermind i forgot to pick up the secret documents

Don't even need to bother with the map, it now shows up in the mission archives if you unlock it. It appears at the very bottom of the mission archives.

First of all sorry for the necro but I have a very good reason (excuse the first post I usually post on the battle net sc2 forums but I've decided to move over here and I couldn't wait for the 3 day trial period to end).
Anyways the very good reason: I recently bought a computer that can handle opening the sc2 maps in the galaxy editor on more than half a frame per second and I think I found a hidden secret on Piercing the Shroud. But I seem to have triggered a bug that I can't seem to make go away so I need some help.
+ Show Spoiler +When you load the map in the sc2 editor you get a single map with both halves of the mission and the triggers handle hiding different parts of the map at different times. On the left hand side go to the second half of the map and navigate to the bottom edge to the end of the mission where the hercules is landed. That is where the normal ending should trigger.
But if you slide on the same height to the left you can see a couple of regions that never activate in any part of the mission. They have 2 pointers EscapeRaynorCreate and EscapeHybridCreate and a region EscapeVictory. So to enable this are all you have to do is go into the doodad filter in the editor and delete the debris blocking the path. Then go to the pathing filter and delete the disable pathing region.
After you have it done just launch the map using test document and go there and tell me what happens!
The "bug" that happened to me was that I attempted to save progress right before getting to the special point and then the game started thinking I own the starter edition so it brought up an overlay saying the starter edition has expired etc. So far this does not in any way affect the live version of SC2, only this campaign mission when launched in the test document editor.
I really want to know what happens in that region.

I haven't checked it as I am currently not able to, but couldn't you just check what they do in the editor?

wait really? a secret mission in the secret are u sure? i havnt checked the map editor so i'll take your word for it wow that would be awesome, all i know is there are two endings, one for if you do this mission before getting zertuals artifact and one after getting zertuals artifact, becasue u see hyrids from zertruals vision so when u see them on the secret mission u know what they are and if u havnt u dont know, i think the dialog changes from something like "those look like hyrids from zertuals vision" to "why is mensk doing this" i cant remember perfectly tho be awesome to play that secret mission, but i already beat the camp on brutal, i DO NOT want to go throught it again just for this one mission, maybe i'll play it on easy with my sea account(havnt finished campign) and leave the NA account with the brutal camp (it does say all missions complete on my NA account)
