Is there an achievement for completing the campaign on normal/hard/brutal? I'll be replaying this campaign for years to come, but I rather not play normal since I don't like my RTS's to be too easy.

Complete all objectives. Do something special on normal. Do something special on hard. You get achievements for playing all sidemissions of sidekicks etc

The achievements are cool, but the really stupid thing is you have to be connected to battle.net in order to get them. Battle.net went down today for me so I missed out on a whole bunch of achievements while I was playing the campaign.

If you are playing on Brutal than the Normal and Hard achievements will be acquired if you complete them. And the Achievements are not stated anywhere until after the mission so if you miss it you can simply just redo the mission from the Bridge. I am at 300 Achievement points already and i am not even done the Campaign. There are a lot of things to do. So glad i stayed up till midnight to be a part of this...

Is there anyway I can get those counted (the missions are done and complete) toward my kerrigan portrait without having to spend another 4 hours of brutal missions that i've already done?

The Achivements in general try to get you to play the game a bit more creative/aggressive. While being designed around heeding the ingame advice and using the "unit of the mission", that usually won´t allow you to get some Achivements.

I think i'll try just loading up the auto-saves and play the last 5 minutes or so of each mission to see if I get credit for beating it again. edit: doesn't work, if you load an older mission save it reloads the ENTIRE game, meaning you're back to whatever mission that was on the hyperion

I only watched 4, and I really dont want to bother replaying the game, even on easy. Every mission is just so tedious Yes, I replayed the campaign to get it. It took about 10 missions and I'm not sure if clicking the news and than hitting esc still counts so I just sat through it all =\
