![]() I totally understand where the desire to do this is coming from, it's just not for me. Waited 10 years for this to come out, and really don't plan on pushing myself through the campaign in a sleep deprived state ![]() I'll probably log a couple hours of the campaign and then swap over to try some online madness.

![]() But yes, I will focus quite a bit on the campaign before I hit the multiplayer part of the game. Blizzard always create excellent single player experiences.

It's not like I'm going to skip any of the cut scenes or rush through the dialogs. More like spend a lot of time playing the game right now.

To me rushing to get through seems like you're taking a "work" attitude towards it, like a chore you have to do. I would rather take my time and savor it.

What you should do is put it up on a stream so we can all see you play for a day straight, then again, nobody would watch since we'd all be playing ourselves... It is possible to finish it much faster than that, judging from one of the campaign achievements. See the "Hurry Up: It's Raid Night" achievement. http://sea.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/10831/1/Synboi/achievements/category/3211285 That said, hi guys! New here.

I'm going through the campaign first, for sure, but I'm going to take it nice and slow. I've waited 12 years for this, I'm not going to ram through it haphazardly and be done.

is that correct or am i missing that anywhere? I hardly complete a mission with all achievements cause I just dont know what the achievements are until i finish it. Sure, I could replay the mission to finish the missing ones, but seeing the achievements before you start the mission would be a much better option.

I would tend to assume most people aren't even going to touch the campaign for at least the first few hours they play, and many will never even complete the campaign at all. This is Starcraft; think again.

Well twelve years down the line all we remember and love is the esport and the competitive play, but don't forget Blizzard RTS's have easily the strongest narratives and campaign level design in the history of RTS.

I enjoy it a lot.. the only thing that bothers me is, that you cant see the achievement for a mission before you play it You actually can, press F9 when you are at your ship ![]() About your speedrun idea - don't do it. If you play the game at a normal pace, I guess there is around 60 hours of very fun gameplay. When you get sick of the campaign, go laddering then come back. We waited for so long (and we got such a great product), that it would be a real shame to speedrun it on your first try. I will finish the game on hard, then grab all the campaign achievements on hard, then speedrun on normal, then on hard, all while laddering when I feel like it. Will be a blast ![]()

Or is the AI evolved to the point where you're actually fighting a "balanced" opponent. IIRC, the original missions were only really slowed down by the fact that the computer started with static defenses covering 75% of the map, it'd be interesting to see a more "realistic" opponent.

The opponent is not really human like but it is still good. Most of the challenge is in completing special objectives or achievements like destroying your opponent on maps where the main objective is to stay alive for 20 minutes where you are heavily outnumbered. Almost all of the missions have special objectives or rules. There are very few missions that are just about building a base and they destroying the opponents base.
