Two A-league players/former players have pleaded guilty to spot fixing in 2023 and 2024. A Colombian gang paid them to get yellow cards at specific times for betting purposes.
They initially pled not guilty to multiple charges but have done a plea bargain which led to some charges being withdrawn in exchange for a guilty plea.
A third, the alleged facilitator and the team captain Ulises Davila, has yet to enter a plea.

Does anyone know what happened with ter stegen at barca? He was their best player for so many seasons and now they all dropped him simultaneously
|
They want to get rid of his comparably high salary because Barca is broke.

ManU should pick him up asap. Especially after Onana's injury

Apparently Donnarumma's contract renewal talks have been really quiet and now he's rumored to Chelsea, ManU and City. I don't think United looks particularly attractive for player of his stature currently, but we'll see.

Chelsea are just winners, crazy

Saw something which must be a world record of sorts in the norwegian league today
Bodø-Glimt's Kasper Høgh had 4 disallowed goals, all for offside, in the first half.

99% he's staying at psg and that it's just a play from his agent to get the contract talks rolling

I could see him wanting to try out La Liga or EPL and there are definitely some interesting positions available right now.

My beloved Inter couldn’t lay a glove on them, neither did Real for most of their CWC game.
So I don’t accept that :p
Dunno what happened in the final, GGWP Chelsea and Palmer is one of my absolute favourites so good to see him turning it on!
I find it difficult to gauge my takeaways from Chelsea’s CWC run. Palmer looks to be getting back there, Joao Pedro has slotted in like a glove, and Delap’s been promising in the spells I’ve watched.
On the flipside, at least for the European sides I don’t think we saw absolute 100% intensity this tournament. Chelsea seemed to take it more seriously than most, but that could just be me judging them for playing better than most.

The handful of clips I saw in reddit, it seemed like Chelsea had figured out how to play themselves out from the PSG pressure.
Someone also pointed out that PSG was now more even ground in match congestion than during the regular season competitions. Didn't seem to help Real or Bayern though.

Nice to see PSG losing their shit again. It's been a while

not sure if you're following the women's team much eri, but they went out 2-1 to italy in the women's euros
big talking point is having one of their best players (guro reiten) playing at left back instead of her natural left wing position - wtf were they thinking?

yeah I watched the second half of the game. Does seem like a bit of a weird choice and looks especially poor when she ends up slightly messing up defensively (very understandable when you've hardly ever played as a defender) on both the Italian goals.
But honestly I can't say I've been paying much attention to the Norwegian team in general and I don't know how good the other options are or what the rationale was - like if that was the only way to fit some offensive piece into the puzzle while still fielding Reiten and thinking Reiten would still be better at the left back position than the alternatives would be even if it's not a good for her.
I'm noticing pundits have basically been saying two things - 1 - they question this particular choice, and 2 - people have wanted to bench Ada Hegerberg because the impression is that Norway has played better when she hasn't been on the field, but she's too big of a name to drop. Kinda CRonaldo portugal vibes to that one.
In other news Sverre Nypan is officially a Manchester City player, new record price for a Norwegian player sold from a Norwegian club!

Snoop Dogg has bought into Swansea City. The yankification of UK football is beyond satire now.
Any team recommendations for the Bundesliga 2?

That penalty from that one French lady was fucking wild! She took a 300 yard run up, from the right hand side, to stop 1 yard from the ball to hit it 1mph into keeper hands, utter baffling.
Crazy shootout. One amazing penalty from the German lady, think was Damaian, best penalty i seen in years, top top bins, laces hit, beautiful.
