I think statistically there's little difference between men and women overall on penalties, with about a 70% conversion rate for both. You'd think it would be easier for women as their goalies have shorter range, so simply shooting fairly hard to either corner should be impossible to save, but apparently they're less good at changing side right before the shot, so the gks can get away with diving a bit earlier than male goalies can.

Liverpool sure have invested into this window. It feels like they follow a similar pattern as Real Madrid where you may have a few windows of quiet time and work on the existing roster and then splash big when you sense an opportunity or have to make a push.

Bundesliga talent been snapped up by Liverpool, just wondering if they will adapt. The last few German talents have struggled into the premier league. Werner, Nkunku, Havertz, Marmoush? I mean they not exactly done what they did at Bundesliga levels, Wirtz and Etike have some big shoes to fill and combined £200 million for the pair lol?

Pretty sure Marmoush is doing really good when Pep gives him a chance to play?

I think Wirtz is just on another level to some of those other names, he feels close to a guarantee provided he doesn’t have horrible injuries. Granted there are few sure things in football! Werner’s confidence went, Nkunku wasn’t lucky with injuries, Marmoush hasn’t been too bad at all. Havertz felt like people bought him for his clear quality, but didn’t really know where he was going to play. I could see Wirtz struggle a bit if Liverpool don’t have an actual plan for him, but that would seem a bit atypical for them based on recent times. Plus they don’t tend to spend quite that big, so I’d imagine they’d think even more carefully

I don't think you can say Marmoush is good yet in the league can you? Well i think he is good but i mean he hasn't transfered his world class elite level stats yet? 17 bundesliga games netted him 15 goals and 10 assists, in the prem, 16 gave him 7 goals and 2 assists? But of course very early in his career and he did score one of the goals of the season in England lol. Would you say though, there could be an argument to be made that Bundesliga talents coming into the premier league recently have not worked?

Gvardiol from Leipzig to City - good multi-position defender and starts most games for Pep Sancho from Dortmund to United - lol Szoboszslai from Leipzig to Liverpool - looks to be out of the starting XI with Wirtz in De Ligt from Bayern to United - crippled by nagging injuries, talent is still there

He's good at what he does definitely, but based on that he seems like someone who can be figured out and not someone who fits into Pep's system long term. Then again I haven't seen him play at all, so maybe I've got this completely backwards or something.

- 9 G+A in 16 PL games is world class level... Marmoush had no pre-season with City, just got thrown on the field. - Szoboszslai is one the reasons Liverpool won the PL last season. He keeps running non-stop. - Gvardiol world class - Gravenberch THE central midfielder of last season - Mazraoui the only good ManUtd player? haha - van de Ven great at Spurs when he was fit - Haaland???

For example, Phil Foden trying to play for anyone other than Pep Guardiola.

Not sure if this serious or a "PL is a so much better league" bait... Haaland had no trouble adopting, Gravenberch couldn't manage in the Bundesliga but became Best in Slot in PL and there are so much more examples for succes stories... it feels like troll bait EDIT: Okay I got triggered and had to reply immediately. Now seeing the other responses xD Pande you are troll ![]()

The last 3 Bundesliga players we picked up have all been worth their money imo. Gravenberch (though he hardly was a Bundesliga player since he barely played for Bayern) has been obviously the breakout of the season for us, Endo has been excellent for how little we spent on him and helped us win a cup and kept our midfield afloat as a stop gap, and Szoboszlai who while his fee was steeper, was the core engine of our midfield. They've all succeeded at our club so hopefully, the same can be said about our next 3 Bundesliga players as well. I have no qualms about Wirtz going to fit in, he's already a world class CAM who can flex in any of the front 3 positions. Frimpong looks to have the speed necessary to play in the prem, but we'll see how he does defensively which is the big question mark. And Ekitike reminds me a bit of a Firmino type who can succeed in the prem, giving up some of Firmno's technical ability in exchange for a bigger frame and more physicality.
