Kase could be a legitimately good player there too, former 20 goal scorer on some meh Ducks teams. More importantly, they got him for the next 2 years at just 2.6m vs 6m for Backes. That is huge for a team that needs to resign people

also in Rangers land, it is really weird seeing Hank ride the pin, but Shesterkin is so fucking good. He looks great behind an ass defense that has two other serviceable goalies looking quite bad.

Hughes has been great. The Canucks trades have been weird though. They are making moves like they are a top contender vs a fringe team that may miss. They have a few interesting pieces at least so their next few years can be interesting
