His flaw is he is overcompensating to be Lebron's guy, but Lebron owns ESPN so if he pushed back at all he would instantly be slandered as a mega-Racist (they already have implied as much in numerous articles). Realistically, Lebron ostracized Boozer his first go round in CLE, then kept pushing for win-now moves that tanked the franchise. He left, then came back because they had the best assets in the East, and again began pushing for win-now moves (mostly signing 1 year deals with player options so as to control things), and again ostracized his #2 in Kyrie.
Sure, Gilbert could be better, but when Pat Fucking Riley made a few moves Lebron didn't like he complained to ESPN, ESPN slandered Riley and Erickson as cheapskates, then he booked it to CLE for greener pastures.
Maybe that's the difference between good FO's compared to bad ones. Heat is stable, Cavs is a cesspool. And now that you mention it, this is why LBJ's legacy as one of the greatest is tarnished. He is a diva with a posse of asskissers who do everything to protect his corporate image. Having said that, LBJ can do whatever he wants and Gilbert can do the same, they deserve each other.
Being a diva with a posse of asskissers should make him the perfect candidate to succeed Jordan
Terrible comparison man. Not even in the same planet.
Jordan punched Kerr, bruised with Wellington, fought with almost the entire pre-1990s Bulls roster, battled with Magic for NBA Olympic supremacy, and all those nasty things... but please tell us when did Jordan act a diva for his brand's sake and not out of the killer instinct to win win the championship?
Name one.
HOF speech. Blackballing Isaiah.
Seriously? This is your best?
His HOF speech was a psychopathic speech by a psychopathic man who doesn't realize that the competition is over and that he has already won them all! And it happened way after his career was over. It has nothing to do with whining about his teammates or his team or being a passive aggressive emo goth teenage girl on instagram.
Players as disparate as Robinson, Hakeem, Clyde, Barkley, Magic all hated Jordan in the 80s and thought he was just a ball hog who can jump really high. Thomas though took it to the next level and really made it personal, using this hate towards Jordan to orchestrate a freeze on him during the AS game. Moreover, Thomas' Pistons were raping and destroying Jordan and the Bulls in the 80s EC playoffs, and the general of all that as openly admitted by his teammates was Thomas. And do not forget what happened the first time Jordan won over the Pistons in the playoffs.
I mean you can't bring up the Dream Team snub without bringing up the Jordan-Thomas beef. It's ugly, but it's par for the course.
And once again, all of this is not about being whiny and being an entitled diva who wants to protect his corporate identity first and competition is just a means to this goal.

But in his understanding of the game, his basketball IQ, his creativity of shots for his teammates. That's where we [have the] same thing. Can bring it down, make a pass, make a play. I'm just happy he's starting in the All-Star game because he deserves that. And he's going to be like an MVP, a champion, this dude he's going to put Milwaukee on the map. And I think he's going to bring them a championship one day."
Per NBA rules, any talk about a player on another team outside of press conferences and interviews before, during, and after the games against the team of the player in question constitutes a fine. Recruiting attempt: $500k (like PG), non-recruiting attempt: $50k (like this one).
Jonathon Simmons, Stanley Johnson, Fred VanVleet - Just a few of the players that have posted career highs in scoring against the Cavs over the last few weeks. Teams should use the Cavs as a confidence booster for their younger players. Then they can rest their stars. No sense in risking injuries when anyone on your roster can drop 30 vs this defense.

HAHAHA BJ. I read and reread the first sentence and was really wondering who you were referring referring to until I reached Gilbert.
For guys who don't like LeBron you sure get chatty over every little thing. Stop bawling over every piece of news that comes out. Some of the shit is irrelevant. Why do you give a fuck if he waves his NTC if you aren't in it for Cavs to win?
ESPN Real Plus Minus indicates that this year the Lowry-Derozan backcourt tandem is only slightly better than the VanVleet-Wright tandem. I'd say that is accurate.
Recently, VanVleet-Wright has been better than Lowry-Derozan.
meh, i think trying to read someone's emotions from posts is a guessing game. stick to the content of the post. i'd rather talk about the NBA than the "emotion" behind Ace's posts.
We're watching Father Time defeat LBJ. The Celtics and Raptors are loaded with players under 26 who are constantly getting better within good developmental systems. meanwhile, LBJ is slowly deteriorating. Gilbert's money can cover up a lot of FO mistakes... his money can't stop the aging process.
this is sorta what it was like watching the Tampa Bay Devil Rays take out the New York Yankees.
I just watched that video and I couldn't understand why Lebron would play like that. He didn't even try and be open at the 3 point line. I guess he either didn't care or doesn't like IT.
