I've always considered prime basketball age to be around 28-30. Another way to put it, I think prime basketball age is to be as experienced as possible before you drop off athletically. I think an athletic prime is probably age 23-25, but the drop off in athletics doesn't really show up until a player is in their 30s. I think it's not a coincidence that the #2-#4 oldest teams are the Spurs, Warriors, and Rockets. Just like Cavs were one of the best teams last couple years. You basically want to be as experienced as you can be without being "old." Future looks good for Celts/Raptors.

Crazy how it seems only 2-3 years ago that pre-prime MVP DRose was trashing the league.

It looks like JR has gotten his shot back the last few games, if IT can get his shot back and we go back to hitting 3s like no tomorrow... combined with some more defensive effort... maybe not all hope is lost. But that's being optimistic.

I guess just to set the record straight in case anybody else is reading these posts and assumes some false opinion about this finals series from reading this nonsense. So here are the facts about Game 6, where supposedly Kyrie had the huge plays that kept the game out of reach for the Warriors. First of all, the 3rd quarter was never even close. The cavs started the quarter with a 16 point lead. With 7:00 left in the quarter it was a 21 point lead. With 3:00 left it was still a 19-point lead. With 1:30 left in the quarter it was still a 17 point lead. Then Klay caught fire and scored 8 straight points to bring the lead for the Cavs to 9 to start the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter, LeBron scored 17 points. Kyrie scored 1 point, from a technical free throw. Game 6 scoring - 3rd quarter - Kyrie: 2 points LeBron: 10 points 4th quarter - Kyrie: 1 point (from a technical free throw) LeBron: 17 points For the entire 2nd half Kyrie: 3 points LeBron: 27 points Oh but I'm sure he had some super clutch rebound that really deflated the Warriors spirit! What? The only time the game got close in the entire 2nd half was going into the 4th quarter. And in the 4th Kyrie was 0-2, had 0 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 1 turnover, and 1 point from a technical FT. LeBron is the one that put the game out of reach. From the start of the quarter until the time the Cavs cleared their bench for garbage time the Cavs had 30 points. LBJ scored or assisted on 27 of those 30 points. Yes, Skip. Please tell us more about Kyrie's amazing 3 pointer while glossing over one of the most clutch defensive plays in history. Also if you can mention Ray Allen saving LeBron's legacy you get bonus points. Lol why are you even entertaining that guy? He clearly doesn't know shit lol

Evans got held out but that has been going on since January 31 or so. no, what is shit is your assumption that no one cares about the Raptors content i post on here. just speak for yourself... Yes they're shit JJ, and that's the truth sorry. Ask yourself, has anyone even bothered responding to your Masai posts or some random stats or tabloid stories? Out of your 10k posts, 9k are shits no one cares about and even reads, and 1k are inflammatory provocative posts that you hope will grabs people attention towards you. Actually don't ask yourself, since you have this tendency to blatantly lie, I'm afraid you'll just lie and bullshit to yourself and to others like you always do. But you do you JJ. As long as you stick to truthful NBA talk, discussions seem to be ok. Otherwise, it's a particular spectacle in this thread to see you try so hard to act all serious and knowing with your stats and scout uncle and your predictions (lifted from somewhere else on the internet WHICH EVERYONE ALREADY SAW!!!) only to be so consistently unintentionally comical. I'm just saying this out loud in case something is bothering you that makes you unaware of this. Don't reply to me. If you reply, it means you are confirming what we're thinking. Let's talk about NBA instead.

I even concede when he proves me wrong. You on the other hand lolers. You're act is made, no need anymore to pretend like you know shit lol.

Seriously though, if only we could stick to facts and argue calmly instead of name calling, and general rudeness. I'll admit in a heartbeat being wrong about facts, but when others open by being douchey about the discussion, that's another thing. Anyway, some cool stuff from r/nba, while we await the trade deadline. ![]() Imgur album Mod Edit: removed some pictures.

The average age is less important than the age of a team's stars since it's much easier to replace aging bench players with younger bench players. The Cavs have been really terrible at that. The Spurs have been the model franchise for it. The Warriors give out cash considerations.
