No, I'm saying they are incredibly bad mannered for not conforming to international social norms when having a couple of thousand 'guests' over for the Olympic games.
So how do you teach manners to nations which don't have that much freedom in travelling around the globe?

Also Lavillenie sounds like a proper wank, didn't congratulate Thiago after his win and hasn't talked to him for over a year. And just compared Brazilians to nazis. He apologies for his declaration and congratulates his opponent. Didn't directly talk to Thiago Braz after losing. In fact, hasn't talked to the dude for over a year. I thought being a good sportsman is part of the Olympic Culture.

Yeah but I don't see anyone giving Lavillenie, who's french and should be well acquainted with the "superior sports culture" of Europe, any flak about it. It's all about how Brazilians are "shit" and have a "banana culture".
TBH I don't give a shit that he didn't congratulate Thiago, some people get very hotheaded after losing and do things they wouldn't normally do, or maybe there's bad blood between them. But the hypocrisy is too flagrant for me to let it go unnoticed.

And said on air that he wasn't surprised by Thiago's performance. From here, looks like you've been fed a specific narrative that brazilians thrive upon (we're victims, the europeans/americans don't like us, they are racist etc etc) without questioning the reason behind it.

Oh, you play the victim, this is so cuuuute to be insecure about his own culture, maybe it is time to change! :D It is not only the european culture btw, asian ones seem not used to this either. Btw I could add that in football, spectators act regulary like this too, this is one of the reason in some country like France, football fans can be seen as a bunch of total idiots. The thing is olympics game are not a football competition...

Woah another blunder in Marathon Swimming with the computer indicating that the frenchman didn't even arrive, even though we can see him arriving 3rd.

Greek dude kinda forget to push the thing at the goal line and lost because of that. Well even if he didn't he might still have lost.

I like how all rowing contests have been more or less decided by who did NOT attract some of the local sea-trash. Shit tier event - literally.
EDIT: Booing is never going to be considered good sportsmanship by 99% of the world. It is disrespectful towards the competition and the ideals of the Olympic Games.

Dude was sulking during the competition, it was visible. Also, I wonder how defending my culture when attacked is painting Brazilians as the victims. In fact, quite the opposite is happening: some europeans(and Lavillenie) feel they were wronged by the crowed because we didn't act the "right", "civilized" way.
edit: this discussion has taken way too much of my time, I have made my points, and it is not that important, so I won't respond anymore.

Danish Womens Doubles in Badminton might be about to stun the world I think. That first set is looking really solid. Non-asian participation in the finals would be the first in the history of the Olympic Games.

The narrative hasn't been built by you, but I suspect by Brazilian media.
But if you want my opinion, people have forgotten how bad the chinese crowd was in Beijing. They even booed their own athlete Liu Xiang when he was injured. I don't think anything can be worse than that.
Edit: Fabiana Murer couldn't handle the pressure and didn't even pass a bar. So cruel for her.

Never mind second set is going as expected - Chinese dominance.

She said she has a herniated disc. I don't know how much I trust her, every time she doesn't do so well she blames some external factor. This was a personal low for her tho, so who knows.

Hmm, this gym is really really windy... Denmark back in dominating fashion now that they are back on the "good" side. However, it also looks like more inspired play from the Danes.

There was lots of wind in Rio yesterday. Like, once in a year wind.

The outside wind shouldn't impact the wind inside the gym. This gym has been extremely windy throughout the tournament, but it seems even worse today, than the other days.
