The german commentator said he was a superstar in turkey, though they talk a lot this olympics and sometimes seem to not even know the rules of the sport they are commentating on.

This is the first time I've seen men's indoor volleyball since before the scoring changes. It's so weird watching the receiving team winning maybe 80%-90% of the points.

Volleyball is one of the few sports, where I enjoy women way more then men. Watching just serve->powersmash ->point 40 times in a row is so boring. I prefer at least some ball exchanges here and there...

Also watched some random men's handball group stage games live (france x serbia and germany x slovenia). The french crowd was especially awesome, pulling out chants all the time and making a lot of noise (I think they were somewhat organized), even though they lost by one goal (could have gotten a tie but missed a penalty with few seconds left). Overall it's been awesome having the Olympics here. Even met and talked to an olympic gold medalist (british, 4 man rowing event) in the subways by pure chance!

I didn't see the competition but I don't disagree overall, this is the first time I see such a bad crowd at the olympic, the major thing I will remember of this will be the new cold war and the brainless booing, what a strange and sad atmosphere, London and Pekin were way more joyful and Tokyo should be way better, I hope I will be there.

I dont think the booing should have happened, its was not necessary, but all I see is that the french is mad that he didnt win. People are so touchy nowadays they go the length of comparing that to Hitler? Seriously? Edit: besides, this is the crowd style of south america, much more loud and disruptive than the "polite europeans", what was he expecting?

Also Lavillenie sounds like a proper wank, didn't congratulate Thiago after his win and hasn't talked to him for over a year. And just compared Brazilians to nazis.
