Bolt>Phelps in terms of one of GOAT athletes. Bolt has that something special that seems to stimulate massive amount of interest worldwide. I get that phelps is one of the GOAT but he seems to be vastly popular in USA but soso in other parts while bolt is pretty much rock star everywhere. Crazy how he has won 3 gold medal in a row in 100m race. Do you guys realize how insane that is? | ||

Let's talk about the epic race and show stealer of tonight, the 400m! Holy Wade MF Niekerk!!! Ends up in lane 8 where no athlete has ever won from and you have to run blind the whole race. Jumps out, focuses on his own TT and just obliterates everyone. Completely DISMANTLED one of the best T&F records on the books, MJs 43.18, winning in 43.03. His last 60m were a work of brilliance, it literally looked like he started running downhill compared to Merrit and James. I'm just in awe. Pretty sure we can now seriously consider the possibility of a human running under 43 seconds for a lap of the track. Wow. Just wow! | ||
