Also, I wonder how defending my culture when attacked is painting Brazilians as the victims. In fact, quite the opposite is happening: some europeans(and Lavillenie) feel they were wronged by the crowed because we didn't act the "right", "civilized" way. But if you want my opinion, people have forgotten how bad the chinese crowd was in Beijing. They even booed their own athlete Liu Xiang when he was injured. I don't think anything can be worse than that.
Should've seen India when they hosted the commonwealth games. Slamming on the side panels and screaming at rival athletes every time they went for a play, etc. Made the Brazilians look very sportsmanlike.

Thanks Not going to lie - manly tears were shed. GL to the GB mens double who is on court now. They are in for a tough one, bordering on impossible, as well. If Ellis and Langridge wins this, they'll be by far the biggest story of the tournament - heck, they pretty much almost already are.

They played well, but when you realise they're seeded 22 vs 4 it was always going to be a very steep, uphill battle. Good chances for bronze, though, I think!

He's from Belfast so it's probably a foreign language for most people. Hopefully this helps:
+ Show Spoiler + RTE: "Michael, you've a lot to get off your chest after that"
MC: "Yeah, AIBA are cheats, they're fucking cheats. It's as simple as that, that's me. I'll never box for AIBA again, they're cheating bastards, they're paying everybody. And I don't give a fuck that I'm cursing on TV. And (unintelligible) this year, I was here to win olympic gold...my dream's been shattered now. But you know what? I've a big career ahead of me, and these'ns (these guys), they're known for being cheats; they'll always be cheats. Amateur boxing stinks, from the core right to the top."

Brazil vs Sweden women's football tied 0-0 going into 2nd extra time period. Brazil beat Sweden 5-1 in the group stage
Simone Biles took the gold in Floor. 4/5 golds pretty good even if she was expected to take all 5

If you didn't watch Spain vs. France in Women Handball, you just missed one of the best comeback of all time.

I wonder what the commentators for events like Archery, and Water Polo do after the Olympics? Most if not all are former participants no?
These events could put me to sleep.

NED gold in radial women, AUS in laser men. Both were one of the favourites. Only drama is AUS passed CRO in a very unlikely scenario where CRO finished last place in medal race.

Took me 3 minutes to figure out the sport, and now I feel embarasssed given I've tried it myself for almost a year (and probably wouldnt have given up so soon if it wasnt because of moving).

Sweden advances to the gold medal match 4-3 in penalties over Brazil after a 0-0 game. With Brazil knocked out there is guaranteed to be a new gold medalist in Women's football. (only USA and Brazil have won gold in women's; both eliminated by Sweden)

Brazil never won. Only Norway and US have gold in women's soccer.
Marta Congrats to the Swedes, amazing composure during the game.

Brazil also would have been a new gold medalist. Congrats Sweden!
