Brady gave the interviews requested; he refused to give his personal phone (which wasn't required by the CBA but he gave them text records which they could match up to the phones they did get form the other parties involved); he also gave them more than they needed in emails, which immediately went public and led to stories about Brady and Giselle arguing about a pool cover color. Imagine what would have happened with his phone.

There are college courses on "Deflategate" covering both the legal and scientific issues. The science is crap from a crap making company known for defrauding the public. There's an issue with the guy taking balls into the bathroom yes, but it's entirely possible he went piss and didn't wash his hands... The numbers for the patriots balls makes sense under the ideal gas law and the colts actually come out weird. The fact the NFL refused to open the records of the measurements this year despite preemptively using new balls at halftime of a really cold playoff game should speak for how confident they are in the actual science... The legal stuff ended with 2 judges saying it was BS to do what they did and 2 saying the players agreed to the deal (neither of which cases looked at the science).

"But what about the texts, huh? Why would he call himself the deflator if he was innocent?" Why did he call someone a Dorito Dink? Did the person actually jack off after eating a bag of doritos and end up with an orange penis? Probably not...
The texts are pretty much irrelevant, they are from waaay before this game and mostly bitching about a Jets game where Brady got upset the refs overinflated the balls to Aaron Rodgers levels. It's almost impossible to get the context of text messages from people who see each other on a regular basis in person. Most of the times it's conversations carried forward with inside jokes and mannerisms. Looking at my friends discord, I would surmise he thinks this person should stop fucking chickens. He doesn't actually mean that, it's a continuation of general dumbassery from a previous conversation about the movie Super Troopers...

The Patriots also don't have a history of shady behavior, they have "Spygate". BB continued a practice that was legal several years before and common practice among the old school coaches (not saying they still did it after the rule change). BB and Kraft apologized and took it on the chin, because they were guilty. Nothing other than that has been against the rules. BB finds new ways to beat teams sometimes (Harbough and the Ravens might call it cheating but it was legitimate), but It's because he knows the rulebook inside and out. This is the same guy that has been pushing for pylon cams for years, the guy that pushed for a PAT change for years, the guy that had Flutie do a drop kick that hadn't been done in years. Him doing his job better than another coach isn't cheating or shady, it's being great. AFAIK they haven't been involved in crowd noise violations or salary cap manipulation, I'd be happy to hear anyone who knows of any other violations so I can be corrected in the future.

At this point though, facts are irrelevant to most people. The NFL did a great job letting false information sit out there for too long, which combined with a large percentage of football fans, and especially the other owners, disliking the smugness of BB and the sustained success of the Pats was all the info people needed. People still say the Patriots taped the Rams walkthrough before the Superbowl because ESPN said it, doesn't matter that it was retracted because it never happened, it fits their narrative of those damn cheating Patriots.

Second half of our season started. We finished the first half 4-0 with 24 points allowed (counting a safety the O gave up). For some strange scheduling reason they were all home games and we now go on the road for 4 games... We ended up losing last week 33-34 to the team we beat week 1. (Their starting QB missed the 1st game while coaching in Italy.) I'm now 0-4 visiting them over the past 3 years! We got a TD with 90s to go and opted as a team to go for the win instead of a tie. We still hold the points lead over them assuming we both end up 7-1 we'll have home field for the playoffs.
