Maybe he is good, but I certainly see no proof. Lombardi and Bristol certainly are in love with him though.

There could be a argument made that hes a better bet than any of the qb prospects this year (its a pretty weak qb draft), but no one thinks the Browns are taking a QB first over all. When Schefter or anyone says the pats are going to get a first+ for him, they're talking a mid to late round first. And the problem with taking a qb in the mid rounds and developing him is that most teams suck at developing qbs, and qbs get consistently drafted higher than their talent. For every Russel Wilson there are a dozen Geno Smiths or Johhny Manzels who either get drafted too high or don't get developed well.

They lost 2 2nd rounders because of bounty-gate, had to pay Brees $$, then had to trade Jimmy Graham because the whole team got super-expensive (almost all non-rookies are overpriced). The Bears got into this situation with Jay Cutler. The defense crumbled because of the picks we gave up for him + the salary he had to be paid.
