I've legitimately never seen a player since Jordan and Shaq get hard fouled and non-called as much as Lebron does. Dudes straight up mug him and rake his arms anytime he goes to the basket every night and refs will swallow their whistles on it a lot. People are just getting up in arms about it this game because finals blah blah. Your boss is probably kind of dumb about it. Lebron, about 3-4 years ago, was a pretty shameless flopper but toned it down pretty quickly. He will exaggerate contact sometimes when he gets hit but no more than anyone else with his usage and his style of play. As others have said, it's just that everyone will see and overanalyze everything he does and so it seems like the volume of flopping/complaining is higher. Players complain to refs non stop all the time, even scrubs. It's just the camera never looks at them when they complain because why would they? If Lebron is complaining then you'll get about 15 zoom ins of it and a slow mo recap of him clapping afterwards. Your boss probably doesn't like him because he's popular and did a couple of stupid things that got exacerbated by his status as an all time great player. Tell me his favorite player and I could drudge up dozens of reasons to call him a hypocrite over it (and giggle while I'm at it if it's Kobe, which I'm like 80% sure it is). honestly lebron still gets a ton of hate from the decision from more casual basketball fans. I also got an aunt that hates him for the "chosen one" nickname/tattoo and the king james shit but I think it's more that he's popular and we're in Chicago.

It's been close but it's still GS favored for 2 reasons: 1) We're not sure if Lebron can keep this up 2) Eventually we expect the Dubs to break out and play their game, and the Cavs will have a hard time hanging with that. Through the first 2 games, the Cavs have definitely set the pace and gotten GS to play their way, which is pretty impressive.

Obviously the league fawns over him at every opportunity and he gets a ridiculous number of calls like any other superstar, but does he also simulate/complain that much more often? Recently learned my boss hates lebron for that reason and I was just like *...I'm going to shut up now :|* Anyway just curious lol. Or is it just one of those things where the answer for any given player is more or less dependent on whether you like him? Also off reddit: lmao He complains a lot but he's also right a lot. If someone blocks him cleanly he won't complain. He just doesn't seem to want to accept the fact that he is not going to get every single foul call every time there is contact, especially when he has a habit of lowering his shoulder and initiating the contact on most of his drives. He probably feels especially justified in his complaining because he is probably one of the cleanest defenders in the game. He just doesn't foul a lot of defense. So I can see why he would be frustrated since he plays clean defense against everyone but nobody plays clean defense against him. He probably thinks everyone should play to his standard even though that's harder for players that aren't athletic freaks of nature.

I fail to see the contradiction... the nba wants basketball to be a non-contact sport, and so do the refs bosses, cause thats what the nca wants.
