Hey guys
Ive been having lower back pain during front squats any suggestions on mobility etc to help? It's a burning pain that gets high very fast and my lower back gets stiff as i do squats but goes away fairly quickly too but during the workout i basically have to stop doing squats afraid of provoking an injury. This is recent i have never had any pain on my lower back doing whatever movement but last 2 weeks or so this has been happening today i quit my crossfit wod midway during front squats again and felt like shit - i truly hate stopping mid way during a wod but the pain was quite high. During the day however I feel basically nothing.

Do you use a weightlifting belt?
A burning pain? Interesting - when I do a front squat, my lower back stays in tension since the weight is sitting right on top of it, but there is no "strain" since I'm not tilting with the squat. Could it be that you are trying to arch your back more than it should be?

no belt been thinking about getting one now not sure if it would help
as for posture i have had a bad posture throughout life and am trying to fix it so my back probably arches a bit specially when im at max weight but im always asking my coach to look at my posture cause i worry about it a lot and its usually ok

Try doing a lighter weight front squat where you focus on keeping your stomach/abs tight, and let that tightness straighten your back. I was advised to put attention to the front core so that I don't over-arch my lower back when doing squats, and it helped a bit.
Before, I was overarching my lower back so I would hold excess tension in it during my squats, and it would wear the muscle down prematurely.

whats your max weight? can you take a video?

Any tips for coming back from a break? I took a roughly 10 day break, the longest I've taken in half a year. I'd want to minimize DOMS and get back to previous weight asap.

I constantly have those breaks, and in general it just sucks and there is little you can do to avoid strength loss and initial DOMS.
My recipe: Start your exercise a little under your previous weight (5-10% depending on the lift). However, ALWAYS try at least one set, or even just one rep at they weight you were at before the break. As you continue to work back up to your previous weight, always include that one set AT your previous weight.
And you just got to man up and work through the soreness. It'll be over after 5 days.

Doms are the best part of working out, s'matter witchu?

I simply post focus on the squat and didn't do well (200 good, 220X x2), on the bench the bench was just awful and had problems with it so only did 162.5kg. On DL did 250 and 257.5 to secure 2nd place.
The guy that beat was a cuban WL with a 155/190 total at 85, he easily squatted 260 O_O, benched 160 and DL 290.
I did take my time to ask him tons of questions

Dude, I feel ya. Been battling that my whole life. Salt water and chlorinated water are both good, but they also include sunlight which is a key ingredient. Getting some moderate sun exposure is key. I've had the best luck not with the incredibly astringent prescription medications, but with Neutrogena body soap and some otc meds for bad flare ups. That 3 part program that is advertised on tv Bioactive or whatever it's called works for me.
There's a new 5/3/1 variant for size that looks interesting! Check it out here. Wondering what you all think about the full body split and the volume work. I'm planning on doing birthday squats this year so a cycle of this could be good practice.

I guess I'll give it a try whenever it's sunny enough. I live 50 meters from the ocean, but it's really cold water
I do remember acne being at it's best when I sunbathed regularly.

At worst you're going to drop a rep or two on your weights - at best you might find you have more energy and you actually come away with a better workout than you were having before the break.
