I was thinking back to the 120->120.6 increase thinking it had grown similarly, not by 10+million. Deals fine then but I still see Indy getting in the "playoffs but not a contender" situation. So many holes. | ||

I agree that they were the only real super bowl contender left and it likely didn't change the outcome of the game. I just wasn't sure what kind of punishment this would warrant. I see people saying fines or lost draft picks but no one seems to know how much. I guess we have to wait for the official explanation of everything | ||

EDIT: It is pretty telling that the news haven't broken on NFL.com - protecting the brand is more important than punishing a repeat cheater who now as a consequence is in the title game. Any other sport and that would have been severely punished/disqualification. | ||

Your implied allegations against Chris Mortensen (that he cooked up the 11 out of 12 number as well as the unofficial quotes from the league) who is usually a very reliable source are kinda funny when you at the same time preach innocent until proven guilty. Say what you want about the integrity of journalism, but I doubt he would be long employed by the ESPN if he fabricated stories. | ||
