He did not go in for 2nd surgery. And he is not breathing on his own. He is breathing with assistance of machine. He is fighting for his life right now. On another note, I feel that this incident could influence Jenson Button to retire, seeing as he wasn't sure of a seat next year. It is just a feeling I have. I think the whole F1 world is in a bit of a shock that something like this happened, and with no death in 20 years its a chilling reminder how dangerous this sport can be. I think swell there are a lot of people in the F1 world that never had to deal with drivers getting seriously injured. It is surely a bit of a wake up call. I have to say when I was watching (on BBC) when sutil went off I couldn't believe there was a tractor unit on track considering it was terrible conditions and it looked surely like Sutil aquaplaned. I was thinking at the time, that the safety car has to come out now. One of the commentators chillingly said, that in the history of these things they don't bring the Saftey car out in this weather until someone has went off and crashed.. And if you had been watching the other sessions of the weekend, some of the marshalling there was very questionable. In one of the Free Practice, they sent tractor out immediately only to move it to not a safe place and then they had to red flag it. It was very strange. And one marshall tripped as his shoe came off. Rather embarrassing. I wouldn't go pointing the blame at Charlie Whiting right away. We don't know all the details, and the investigation will be thorough. I hope to hear more positive news today but my head is telling me, that this injury could be similar to Michael Schumachers and he may be in hospital for a very long time | ||
