All the cars come out and look really impressive, lots of new changes, interesting things to look at. Comes to the race and Adrian Newey wins.

I'm pretty sure Lewis and Merc won't really be challenging for much of this year becasue they will be so focused on next year... but yeah, given how strong Red Bull were at the end of last season they have to be favorites. Though personally I'd love Alonso to win it, given that he's simply the best driver in the world at the moment.

What, mclaren, mercedes, and sauber all have the same color scheme? I'm not sure if this post was meant sarcastically, in case of no: No. McLaren has Chrome/Red scheme (they are already refered to as chrome-arrows to distinct them from the silver arrows), Mercedes has a silver/mint green scheme (from sponsor petronas) and Sauber grey/red/white scheme. Shouldn't be to hard to distinguish them. Imho the best looking car thus far is the Sauber, because it doesn't have that bulky nose of the Ferrari and McLaren. With Lotus the only team opting for the stepped nose without the vanity panel to cover it, it probably gets the last spot despite the JPS-like painting. But lets see was Red Bull has to offer this afternoon.

#redbullRB9 @redbullf1 are aggressively stopping photos being taken, threaten to take cameras away. @sabbatini Sembra che Red Bull abbia anche bloccato i segnali 3G in sala per evitare di far diffondere immagini della Rb9 via smarthphone It seems that Red Bull has also blocked the 3G signal in the room so you do not spread images of RB9 via smartphone @ScarbsF1 @redbullf1spy 'Launch' over, car covered up, sunday afternoon wasted to see a nose cone from a distance in a dark warehouse

But I don't think it was good move to prevent photographers from taking any pictures - all other teams allowed them, instread didn't show anything untill the testing starts. It seems like they didn't have enought time to produce a show car. They whould have just show it at Jerez instead.

It seems like they didn't have enought time to produce a show car. They whould have just show it at Jerez instead. Red Bull's too big a team and too big a name now to just have there car appear at the first test session. My guess is that they have done it so that they can totally control or limit exactally what the other teams can possibly know about the direction they are taking. Red Bull's Ace in the hand isn't Vettel, its Newey. So they would rather as little information about the design philosphy of there car came out as possible and that all the decent high res images where of the front end and or pre-rendered images they had produced. Makes perfect sense to me, sure might not be super friendly but they are competing in F1 to win, and becasue of the huge rule changes for next year they have to make the most of the current regs (of which they are doing coming off the last few races last season) becasue in 2014 the game is reset and they all start from zero. But I quite like the colour scheme, though I do think the Ferrari is the best looking atm still.
