I cannot remember what year... Canada 2011? I was told to watch it so I did. It was a good race. I guess that isn't really before 2010. But it was a good race promise!

I'd recommend 2000 and before, 2005. After that, I think F1 has been downhill.

Hey guys, I am pretty new to watching F1, did watch the first two races and enjoyed them. Great OP! IS there anything I should 100% know going into the rest of the season? I'm currently trying to figure out who I want to root for, I'm thinking Kimi because he just seems like a badass "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING"

Just pick a driver/team that you like and go from there + Show Spoiler +
long as its not Maldonado+ Show Spoiler +
Just Kidding hehehe.... but really don't pick him
. As for the rest of the season, just know that there is a lot of potential in the field to see some great racing. While not all teams will be in the championship hunt, its good to see that the "tiers" are quite evenly matched for each other, so you will see a lot of good battles.

I like Crashtor Maldonado, provides some good lulz.

Great seasons indeed. Also F1 is missing one strong team (BMW) and pair of drivers - Kubica and Heidfeld. Both raced in those seasons, so its a must see imo

you can find torrents of the BBC's coverage of 2010 onwards, other than that i'm not sure they exist online

The official FIA season reviews are good recaps of seasons, usually they last around three hours. I am sure you could find them online somewhere. My personal favourites over the last decade are 03 (Montoya, Kimi and Schumacher title challenge with Alonso starting out his competitive F1 career after replacing Jens) 05 (Alonso vrs Kimi with the fast but unreliable McLaren) 07 (Grudge match between Lewis as the rookie and Fernando as the current king of F1 at McLaren, Kimi debuts at Ferrari) 08 (Lewis vrs the faster Ferrari's of Massa and Kimi) 10 (4-way title challenge between Fernando, Seb, Lewis and Mark).

Time for China

Sebastian Vettel says he would ignore team orders again if it meant winning a race

Despite apologising for disobeying team orders to win the Malaysian GP ahead of Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel has admitted he would act in the same way again.

Having apologised to the team in person at their Milton Keynes base in the wake of his controversial victory at Sepang two weeks ago, the reigning World Champion declared on Wednesday he wouldn't "apologise for winning" and insisted twenty-four hours later that, in an identical situation, he wouldn't have acted differently.

"In the moment, it might be different, but I would probably do the same," the three-times title winner confirmed during a heated and fiery press conference at Shanghai ahead of round three of the 2013 season.

Admitting that he wouldn't have obeyed an instruction from team boss Christian Horner to give back first place to Webber, Vettel added: "Mark didn't deserve that. The bottom line is I was racing, I was faster, I passed him, I won."

Done and dusted this most certainly isn't with open civil warfare seemingly declared at Red Bull.

"I never had support from his side. In terms of my relationship with Mark, I respect him a lot as a racing driver but I think there was more than one occasion in the past when he could have helped the team but didn't," continued Vettel in a stark insight into the disharmony at the heart of the Milton Keynes outfit.

So was Malaysia 2013 payback for last November's race in Brazil when Webber challenged Vettel for position in the German's title decider against Ferrari's Fernando Alonso?

"Probably you could indirectly say so."

So much for any hope Red Bull might have had about settling the simmering row between Webber and Vettel once and for all, with Thursday's remarkable press conference only serving to add plenty of explosive fuel to the fire rather than dousing the flames which ignited two weeks ago in Malaysia.

"I don't think we've seen this sort of open animosity between team-mates since the days of Senna and Prost at McLaren," observed Sky Sports F1's Ted Kravitz.

Even if you think it, why the hell would you say it. Now Webber clearly is going to "get Vettell back" for that now and they will just continue to fuck eachothers season up >.<

I dunno if he should have said that... I am sure there has been good enough times that Mark was probably told to stay behind Vettel.

"Mark didn't deserve that. The bottom line is I was racing, I was faster, I passed him, I won."

And for that part wasn't Mark's guard was down? He was pacing down because was told to. Vettel just opened his big mouth.

And on top of that I hear Red Bull won't be calling anymore team orders.

I'm not really sure where to look with this. Vettel is being a complete cock atm, but Webber has done similar things before.

Either way I hope Mark gets the upper hand over Seb in the coming races. Red Bull haven't treated them equally at all. I can 100% understand Marks frustration with Seb over things like that.

Another thing too, team orders are team orders. You listen to your fucking boss. That's how jobs work. If you don't, then you get fired. Vettel is using his power and status to make the Red Bull team pussyfoot around him whatever he does.

Has anyone seen Mark Webbers new haircut? He's shaved his head like Shane and Jesse in Walking Dead and Breaking Bad respectively. Shit is going to go down.
On topic Mercedes doing very well in the practice sessions so far. Perez seems to be emulating Hamilton by going off in the pit lane which I found quite funny.
