It's kind of like what's going on with Jagr and Iginla. At least Iginla is good on assists.

Nah man. I already said a lot of people wrote him off ages ago lmao. You had Hawk supporting you and it's only one spot so don't try to sell me that can of worms.

don't care what you said.
don't care who was "supporting me," i haven't taken a position on spezza. he did play better tonight as the game went on and he got himself back up to game speed. he wasn't great but he's clearly going to be a factor in the games to come.
don't want to sell you a can of worms, want you to act like you're not a hockey god because sorry you aren't. your opinion is a very small minority among players, coaches, GMs, scouts, media analysts, etc. aka people who get paid to know and play hockey at the highest level. they don't make the trollish arguments about spezza and other players like you have. i don't know if all those people are right but the weight of their opinion to yours is mount everest compared to a pebble. a pebble that gets in your shoe.

sick game tonight, i dont care if the pens lost. the play in those 2 OTs by both teams was very good. that was some excellent playoff hockey we saw tonight. still think the pens in 5 or 6, but if they don't capitalize on so many fat scoring chances like tonight, they're in trouble. on the other hand ottawa had a lot of fat chances and didn't get them in the net either, probably just because both goalies absolutely stood on their heads tonight.

Can't help but complain at the officiating in game 3 of sens vs pens. Karlsson is getting robbed because apparently he has a reputation, and there were numerous calls/non calls that even the announcers and analysts brought up. It's pathetic. Least the refs kinda swallowed their whistles in OT and let them play, what a win. alfy/greening/andy fighting~

That was a rough loss for the Pens. Still, they are playing better than the Sens overall. It is going to take some luck for the Sens to win this series.

Um no it isn't and that's exactly the point I was making lmao. I never said Spez wasn't good, but he is overrated. It's not just me speaking & I do know hockey but keep firing blanks and amuse more.

Iginla's tied for fourth in scoring...

Nice win tonight! Spezza looked great for being out for so long.

It's kind of funny, the more people calls a player overrated the less overrated he becomes.

Well, he definitely plays the full 200 ft. of ice now. That doesn't change the fact that Alfie & Heatley are two of the biggest reasons why Jason started to make 8mil a season starting back in 08-09 all the way up until now. Next season, Jason`s a bargain as he drops down to 5mil and the season after that he`ll be paid 4mil. That's a much better price, but for 8mil I much rather have fifteen other guys filling that role. Unfortunately really good centres are hard to come by especially when half a dozen teams are looking for one. It's not easy finding a good two-way centre and the last guys to go were Jordan Staal and Brad Richards. High demand; but, very few to select. If Alfie decides to quit and the Senators start to dwindle out of the playoff picture in the next few years (which, I highly doubt) perhaps it would be in Bryan Murray`s best interest to try and move Spezza before a trade deadline to maximize his return rate because it would be stupid high (considering Jason would be down to 4/5 mil which is a really good price for him).
Right now it's the Senators youngsters who are getting the job done. They have a solid core.

not just that trade, just the overall fact that slats basically blew up a team that was a win away from the cup finals. nash is better than gabby, i think that is pretty true at this point. but they lost many proven quality players to get to this point. there's four forwards from last year's team. five if you wanna count zucc.
i mean this overall squad is much more well balanced than the top heavy crap that started the season, and i think in a full season they'd be better with more time to gel, but it still seems like a really weird move to blow up the team in such a dramatic way.
|
Well, it was either him or Torte's. I don't know man. I really, really don't like that trade for Nash. Other than the sweep this is his only playoff experience and I really wish he would use his size more to get in those tough areas. I think they gave up too much when dealing with the CBJ.
|
Last summer, when that roster got blew up, torts and slats were about as safe as you can be.
in a vacuum, i think that was too much for nash. but slats addressed it with the Gabby trade. I think the roster as is now would be fine with 82 games to get used to each other.
my point is that it seems kind of silly to have to do this when we know that the rangers team last year was good enough for the ECF
