I'm not up to par with the Red Wings so I'm a bit confused.

This has him on the 4th line, but Miller is on his spot and he kills penalties/is fast. Bertuzi's time has just come.

The Sharks have been hammering the Wings fairly consistently ever since the Wings last kicked them out of the playoffs. Not sure why fellow Wings fans are talking about the next series at all yet. Blackhawks aren't going to lay down and there were stretches I thought the Blackhawks controlled the game extremely well. Series isn't over yet not even close.

I'd say the first two games where clearly in favor of the team that won, this game as a lot closer but its impossible to tell how that third would have played out had the boarding penalty been called before Kane scored. That goal truly did wake up the Hawks but it happened of a play that should have never happened. What if they just stayed asleep?

And Toews hasnt scored. So yes, this is still in favor of the Hawks but there is a difference in having to win 2/4 hypothetical 4 and having to win the next 3/4. I didn't think the other D were bad but holy hell Smith was terrible. 2 penalties, several turnovers, and lack of general effort. He needs to find his groove, or find a comfy spot on the bench considering how bad he's been all series.

Anyway, up until that Kane goal, the Wings looked like they were in total control and then the Hawks woke up while the Wings started chasing the play. So far at least it seemed like the tale of one team going to sleep and the other one dominating. Only the first period of the third game I'd say objectively both teams were actively participating and it ended with a fair 0-0. But whatever, Howard and the weaker Red Wings team makes up for all those bullshit loses they had in the 2000's when they were icing all star teams and losing to the oilers/flames/other trash teams in the playoffs.

Kundl looks dangerous in his own end, but not in the good way. Howard has basically covered up alot of Red Wings fuck ups. And I have no idea what happened to Kronwall's shot, he used to be able to at least get it on net. That Oiler team was pretty damn good they traded alot of furture for some players to make that run.. They had the balls to play the neutral zone trap against one of the best teams Detriot ever assembled and outplay them like that. Then got another 11 wins on top of the 4 vs detriot playing games like the wings wanted too. If Marc Andre Bergeron didn't knock Brindamore into Rolosons leg in game 1 of the cup final we probably sweep or at least definatley beat the hurricanes. The Jason Smith/Ty Conklin own goal in game 2 didn't help either.

Well, that is only half true. You can be like the Wild and just lie down and die. That is the other option.

Having watched the Wings for so long, it's still jarring to realize that they're actually one of the younger teams in the playoffs, and thus have to play a style completely different from the years before. Luckily, it seems to be working out so far, if only because a lot of the Wings' rookies were already ready for the NHL at least a year ago, if a bit unpolished.

Well, that is only half true. You can be like the Wild and just lie down and die. That is the other option. Wearing an Edmonton jersey and coaching an Oilers team plus the trap is ballsy. We lose that serise and the whole team from the GM down gets mutilated by the fans. Its sacreligious to not be a high speed offence oriented team in EDM. I don't think Detriot was stronger and faster but they definatley had more top end talent. When Ales Hemsky is your best answer to Datsyuk and Shawn Horcoff is your responce to Steve Yzerman you are out matched in skill. But ya the wild did really just roll over and die. I was really happy to see Harding play good, even for just one game. I cannt picture a world where he doesn't win the Masterton trophy. Stats don't matter in that. Its all about what you over came to get abck to hockey and Hardings MS tops that list IMO. I haven't found anything online but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Did Quick get suspended for his game misconduct for abuse of officials?
