In america the lifters on no advance notice testing get tested 10+ times a year completely randomly, you're almost guaranteed to get caught if you're juicing. From what I've heard, random tests are still easy to get around, they only prevent you from using the most powerful stuff. Andriol seems to be one of the more common compounds used for this.

They'll literally show up and test before a training session and then again at the end of the day. There's not really any 'getting around' it.

There are still ways around it though, like just going abroad and training in Bulgaria for 6 months, or being on roids for four years before entering any national program. Squat Nemesis I know a few people here have been on this, and I'm considering doing it because there's a gym next to my job that I can go to at lunch time and I can't stand sitting down all day. But I have a few questions: 1. Has anyone tried mixing the squat type up? I was thinking about mixing up between front, high bar and low bar but sticking to predominantly high. 2. Has anyone tried doing it multiple times a day? I'm planning on doing it at lunch and after work. 3. How do people tend to train press, upper back, etc whilst on it? 4. Has anyone tried substituting some of the squat sessions for deadlift? I was thinking to not quite go as heavy as a 1rm but maybe like 90-95%.

Your squat technique is going to be awesome. My front squat jumped like 10lb per week for a month on squat nemesis

Todays training: snatch - up to 165. four misses at 175 snatch push press - 135x5 140x5 145x5 165x2x2 snatch deadlift - 200x5x3 fs - 205 225 230 235x1x3 I've been snatching like total shit for the past couple of weeks. The pulls feel good, and the lifts look decent on video but I keep locking it out and shifting forward idk why. I'm not jumping forward, but when I catch it my weight shifts and I miss the lift. My programming has been non existant though. I'm going to go back to my old program, squatting 3x a week, doing higher volume in hangs/powers during the week and going heavy at the end of the week, that worked pretty well for me.

Bench: 45x10, 95x10,135x5, 185x3, 205x2, 225x1, work sets: 185x5, 195x5, 205x5x3 Skwatz: 45x10, 135x10, 185x5, 225x3, 245x2, 275x1, work sets:245x5x5, bonus: 185x10 Came in low energy, bench felt awful then on the last set felt ezpz, so maybe I need to warm up better before I hop on the bench? I've been slacking on warmups b/c work leaves me drained, but I guess I just need to get over that. Once I got in a groove at the end of benching I felt great. Squats felt good, for once. Could have gone a little heavier on work sets maybe. Tomorrow is Oly day. I'm gonna try to remember to bring a camera so I can post a form check. I've been doing the California strength progressions every Oly session, but I lift on my own and don't even really know what to look for form-wise yet.

From what I remember, you tend to shift your weight forward too early.

Snatch: 45, 65, 75, 95 (miss x 2) C&J: 95, 135, 155, 165, 185, 205 (miss x 2) ...yes, those are in lbs... Form check please, sorry for the shitty quality. Snatches and Cleans. I have some ideas on what I need to work on, but I'd be interested to see what sticks out to you guys. Still new to these lifts. Felt like shit during this workout for a bunch of reasons I won't list here, except that I slept like shit. I think I should have had half of the ones I missed, but maybe next time. Feel pretty good this morning though, so we'll see how this afternoon goes. It's "light day" in Texas Method so should be easy either way. I am also thinking I can add a second Oly day without hurting recovery too much for the next few weeks, mostly since I can't lift that much yet lol. Next time I'll use a better camera, with a better camera angle, at a better gym.

I don't do snatches and jerks yet, but I watch a lot of oly stuff so take it with a grain of salt I guess.

Ok, so I need to catch the clean on my delts i guess? Yeah, I feel slow, hopefully I'll get faster as I get more confidence in the movement. On the jerk, is it more of a "jump and punch it hard OHP-like" or " drop low real fast and extend arms" or both? Thanks for the help guys!

Next time I'll use a better camera, with a better camera angle, at a better gym. First impression: The bar starts wayyy out in front on your snatch. I'm pretty sure from the starting position until the bar clears your knees, your shoulders are supposed to be directly over the bar, with your lats engaged to keep the bar close to your body. Your clean appears to have too much arm pull and not enough hip snap. Yesterday's workout: Back squat: 3 sets 5 reps @ 345 Bench press: 2 sets 4 reps @ 235, 1 set 6 reps @ 215 with pause at bottom. Chest and arms feel so damn weak lately. Deadlift: 1 set 5 reps @ 405 Snatch technique work: high pull, hang, full sequence @ 135, 155, 165 CJ technique work: same sequence as above @ 135, 165, 185
