Was at the bar half an hour before the opening acts came on, and still got there in time for a great spot. Opening acts were alright. Big K.R.I.T. had too damn much bass. Talib Kweli is a great performer, but no one there really knew his music. Macklemore was on stage for a little over 2 hours. So many awesome moments I don't know how to start listing them, but I HIGHLY recommend one of his shows if you ever have the chance. Couple of my friends got pictures with him. He ended up hanging out at the bar of the hotel he was staying at... and a bunch of students live there, because we accept too many and don't have enough residence hall rooms. I was about half a block down the street listening to Irish Celebration T_T.
I saw him at the UI-chicago auditorium so yeah getting really close was super easy, unfortunately I was stone sober because i had to book it all the way from work to get there in time and beers were 9$ a piece. That is a completely accurate description of the openers lol. I was just waiting for KRIT to finish blaring out bass, then talib finally came on and i was super pumped...and could tell nobody knew who the fuck he was (what the hell is wrong with these young uns).

Ok, so here's a question:
It's getting to be the time of the year where it's super cold and I really want a hot mug of hot chocolate a lot!
Since changing my eating habits, the traditional swiss miss style or even my home made style (dutch processed cocoa mixed with instant milk and sugar) just arent as apealing any more because of the huge sugar content; both a turn off for nutrition and super sweet things like this really are overwhelmingly sweet now that my tongue is used to eating very few sugars.
Are there any commercially available hot chocolates that taste good and are at least decently good for you? I eat dark chocolate (85+ % cocoa) 4 times a week or more as a healthy treat (very low sugar content good mix of fats, cocoa beans are apparently very good for you!), something more dark chocolate based with a lower sugar content would be great.
Will I have to just make home made with chocolate bars?

I'm always blown away by top BB'ers who can casually whip out a perfect front lat spread without a mirror.

Arisen, here you go:

You can control the sweetness, the richness, and the flavor (add your own spices and such) of your hot chocolate, and it shouldn't take very long to make. Alternatively, I'm sure that there are hot chocolates with lower sugar contents and that are made with dark chocolate, but I don't buy hot chocolate nearly enough to know. I read that guide pretty quickly and it seems pretty good, so that would be my suggestion

YESS
After 6 months of hard work i've hit my weight goal
Moving up from 58kg to 70kg, or approx 26lbs of gains at roughly 4lbs a month
Most recent lifts were clean 85kg, BS 5x5 110kg, deadlift 5x3 120kg
I started out as the skinniest piece of weak shit ever, so you can all make it
Now im aiming for 75kg cause i still feel/look skinny haha

We're all gonna make it brah

Last month has been pretty rough for me in term of relationship (gf decided to call it off). I've spent a fair amount of time at the gym (4-5x week). I haven't increased my lift instead I deloaded by about 20lbs and slowly gained back up.
My question is I am/still doing SS but I plan to go 4x/week and previous poster mention other programs (ice cream, phat, sl, etc) but they all are for 3x/week. I still recover quote well so far with little soreness to none. I need some suggestion what to do?
And is supplements really worth taking? I have read a little bit about it and maybe go for some amino acid.

@decaf Thank you, seems like ill be ordering some bcaa, just to try it out

If you dont like fish, get fish oil, if theres not alot of sun where you live, get vitamin d.

Winter is coming....the sun is going to hide so I may need vitamin D and some of these amino provide a little vitamin D. Is it because its not as rich?

Yes supplements are worth taking. Fish oil, Vitamin D, whey protein, and creatine all have reams of research behind them and almost zero side effects. There is no good reason not to take them if you are trying to gain muscle.

oh yeah def get some fish oil and vit d for the winter. Make sure your fish oil is high in epa/dha (not just "omegas") and i like to take around 5000iu of vit d in the winter.

That film was so beautiful.

That's Donny Shackle though right? Doesn't he snatch more than 160kg?
|
I doubt he would do repeated max snatch attempts for a video like that (esp with all the takes we don't see). It has to be a weight that is easy for him to control and do a bunch of, while also still looking like a lot of weight. Most viewers will have no clue what weight that is, unless it's only being shared on weightlifting sites. What is it anyway, like 135 kg?
