PRESS RELEASE GREG ‘IDRA’ FIELDS DEBUTS EXCLUSIVE STARCRAFT II STRATEGY TRAINING VIDEO SERIES ON SIXPOOLGAMING.COM
08 August 2012 (Las Vegas, USA) – SixPoolGaming.com today launches an exclusive StarCraft II strategy training video series with top professional Starcraft II player Greg ‘IdrA’ Fields – providing StarCraft II players a chance to learn from one of Starcraft’s most experienced and popular pros.
“IdrA is an elite player and I’m thrilled to have him on the SPG team. The most exciting thing to me about IdrA’s content is that it’s not just training videos from one of the best Zerg players in the world - it’s high quality content shot in-studio from one of the best teachers in Starcraft,” said Jason Somerville, founder of SPG. “His teaching abilities are amongst the finest in the industry and players of all skill levels will learn from the extensive insights he shares in his videos for a small fraction of what the same training would’ve cost in one-on-one coaching with him.”
"Evil Geniuses is enthusiastic about collaborating with Six Pool Gaming on the production of high-quality instructional video content, featuring EG's prominent professional players, including IdrA himself," remarked EG CEO Alexander Garfield.
SixPoolGaming.com launched in July 2012 and plans to consistently release IdrA content going forward weekly.
“We want users to be able to expect a steady stream of new IdrA content. We will begin releasing his content Friday of this week, and will do so every Friday hereafter. We deem Fridays ‘IdrA Day’ at SPG going forward,” said Krystal Steininger, Director of Marketing for SPG.
Gamers and IdrA fans alike can see a sneak preview of IdrA’s first SixPoolGaming.com release here:
Professional StarCraft II gamers Jeff “INcontrol” Robinson, Andre “Gretorp” Hengchua, Jonathan “DarkForcE” Belke, Lok-Yin “KawaiiRice” Kwong, Dan “ViBe” Scherlong and Tim “meRz” Olsen help round out the list of just some of the SixPoolGaming.com training content providers.

Although IdrA has a long history of balance whining, I think/hope he can be proffessional enough to keep them out of these videos. You wont improve more by saying something is stupid and unbalanced anyway.
cannot wait to watch. For all the crap he gets he is my favorite player by far. Also the thing below the video has Incontrol's first name as Jeff... its Geoff haha
Good for Idra and I'm actually glad that he and a couple other pros are willing to talk about balance when they see it. I don't like the pressure not to talk about balance, affirm it whenever able, criticise anybody who says this or that is not balanced.
Hard as it would be to prove imbalance if it existed (it is totally impossible to account for all potential situations and determine the impact of factors other than skill in such a way as to defeat someone who insisted that you had the burden of proof), Idra has more credibility when he says that imbalance exists than anybody (really anybody, even a player who's better than Idra is) who simply accepts it as a dogma that the game is balanced. And still quite a few people who do reach the conclusion on their own without accepting perfect balance as a dogma.
To his credit, I've heard that Idra once pointed out alleged imbalance that favoured his own race against another, and his words (if repeated properly) were that it would be imbalanced to use that advantage in that particular matchup. So in a way he could be interpreted as hinting that one should perhaps choose to play without using a perceived unfair advantage that the game allowed him to use. How is that poor sportsmanship on Idra's part?
Didn't this exact same thing happen like a year ago as I remember him and incontrol joining it a year ago? Is this just to remind people or is it because his contract got renewed? http://www.sixpoolgaming.com/pros/idra/ December 20, 2011
