It doesn't matter if Idra is bias, there's no real bias anyway other than Idra giving his own opinion. Koreans can't do a "training video" because even if they know english like MC the quality is still reduced by the english(if you suggest game play only/a replay then there would be no sense in doing this series since anyone can watch vods or replays).
Idra seems to spend so much time doing training videos and shit like this, while most other pro gamers (you know, like all the koreans that own idra) are training their asses off full time.

This post is so out of touch with reality it's staggering

Not sure how Stephano saying that he doesn't know why and how he does what he does and that it's easy would be helpful to anyone's training.
I don't even know what bias/ridiculous imba talk of Idra you all are referring to. In the early days he claimed that Terran was OP. Since then, Terran got nerfed heavily, and at the time, many others including Morrow who defeated Idra with mass reaper in IEM agreed about T's imbalance. Later he claimed Protoss was slightly OP, and Zerg got buffed since then. During all those times in which many thought their own race was UP, Idra turned out to be right.
Besides, I never heard much bias when Idra did analysis or commentary. You can't measure his analytic insight by his statements when raging. That's a completeley different story, as it is for many of us.
Guys i am pretty sure both at some point have accepted money for playing.
It doesn't matter when or how indirectly (eg travel or some part of trip subsidized) ... that means they have played professionally.
TBH its pretty ingeniousness, sneaky and even liable to suggest that they are not pro players without sufficient research and evidence to prove that they are not.
Can we please stop slandering people who are trying to make a living in the gaming world - one which i bet most posters trolling this thread would be extatic to be a part of.

Lol man... where and when in time did Idra ever say P was "slightly OP". All he does is complain and bitch abou how other races are way OP and that it's the only reason he loses. He was very good in BW and now he's lost touch with reality. I hope ad some point EG drops him and he goes fucking begging on the street. What a low-life piece of c**p.

Since your last two remarks clearly show that you're up to an unbiased, rational discussion, give us one quote outside of ingame raging where he claims that imbalance is the only reason he loses. Shouldn't be hard if he does it "all the time".
By the way, he is seeing a sports psychologist because of imbalance his rage issues. Are you?
a guy like idra should be banned for his BM..why ppl like him..he was already hilarious on bw complaining about carriers.. seriously..go back to training or just stop playing oo;;

IdrA is the biggest name in sc2, his fanclub has 7 million views

Ya its surprising that he doesn't post better results than he does. With his mechanics, game knowledge, experience and constant training. You would expect him to be making MLG pool play etc.
Bro people go through slumps and this happens to be one of them. He just has to find a way out of it. I mean he won the ASUS ROG last year so it's not like he hasnt won something in a LONG time. Give him a break, he will come out of it.
On August 11 2012 08:02 crms wrote: $15 a month for content thats available literally EVERYWHERE for free? Seems shady. Listing Xeris and Gretorp as 'pro players' reinforces the disengenious feel I get from this site.
You realize I was a pro-player and still play quite a bit. At the same time, Duran is a big time recruiter and scouts like crazy so he has to know what is good and what's not. I think your statement is heavily misinformed and I hope you give the site a chance as all of us put a ton of time into it.
I know you were a former pro and I know who Xeris is. Neither of you are pro-gamers and to misrepresent your positions is in my opinion disengenious and sneaky. Why not give the descriptions you just gave me? Why lie and say you both are pro gamers?
Anyway, my opinion still stands that this content isn't worth $15/month. You can get accurate, detailed and functional content almost everywhere for free. I'm not sure what the appeal of this site is and what they think it offers that is so unique and worthwhile that people should pay subscription fees for it, but goodluck.
edit; went to the site again and listened to the intro podcast with yourself and the site owner. The owner goes into his background into poker and how there aren't any sites in starcraft or one single site to go to get accurate information for the community to learn (huge lie, teamliquid.com??) and then says he had the inspiration to create a site to accomplish those goals. Since you've been in the community for basically ever, you obviously know what he is saying is full of shit but go a long with it. Again, disengenuous, decietful etc. This is just a side project to milk the SC2 popularity to get people to pay for content they would otherwise get for free. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, get money. Just don't feed me bullshit.
I think you're splitting hairs. Hyperbole is a pretty common aspect of advertising. Subway calls itself a "restaurant" chain, would you call them liars for not calling themselves fast food? It's just an advertising tool. Most car companies say that their car is "the best in its class" or likewise... I'm pretty sure a Mercedes sedan is better than a Kia sedan, but Kia advertises itself as the best, doesn't make it true.
I'm not defending advertising methods, but I'm questioning your apparent rage at a company just following relatively standard industry standards for marketing and advertising. You might believe that SPG content isn't worth it, that's fine -- nobody is forcing you to purchase a subscription or watch content, but others might be interested.
You're right, a lot of companies say silly shit and nobody takes them seriously either. I guess I'm a bit more reserved when it happens in an industry I care about. Misleading esports noobs rubs me the wrong way.
