Actually, they've specifically said that the guy in the trailers in NOT a Sith. Of course, he's a Dark Side Force user who has a red lightsaber and a mask, so there's that, but he's not a part of that specific evil order (he's part of ANOTHER evil order).
At this point we're significantly into the Star Wars weeds, and I'm honestly not knowledgeable enough to speak to these things. I have journeyman level knowledge. Won't stop me from splitting hairs though.

As long as there's Jedi there will always be Sith. Jedi also happen to be major plot advancers for the Star Wars story, so there will likely always be Sith.

I just rewatched Gundam Wing a few weeks ago (last time I saw I was like 8 or 9), it was better than I remembered it being. I want moar Gundam but I just can't watch Anime comfortably that's past a certain year. Wat do?

What's the year?
Gundam 00 is similar in a lot of ways to Gundam Wing, but in general people think 00 is better.

My diehard Gundam friend loved 00 Season 1 and was extremely critical of the subsequent seasons.

I tried watching one or two seasons of gundam. bored the heck out of me. course it might be cause I picked the wrong ones to watch

Gundam 00 seasons 1 and 2 are very slow paced and cerebral and full of a lot of politics and things that are not giant robots shooting lasers at each other. I really like gundam 00 seasons 1 and 2.
The show was getting really low ratings in Japan though, and the writers were told to change the theme of the action to be more like gundam seed, which is very popular with younger kids but tends to be seen as some of the worst gundam series by older viewers.
Lots of people think after season 2 that 00 takes a huge nosedive, but by then you're invested and you finish it anyway.

Diehard Gundam fan since 8 years here
Seed, Wing, AGE, and shit like that are bad Gundams IMO
Gundam series I like: Zeta, ZZ, Turn A, Unicorn, Origin, 008th ms team, Iron-Blood, Victory Gundam
Reconguista in G was probably worst Gundam I've seen, also.
No opinion on 00, it was pretty ok

I think Wing is actually pretty good, and gets shit on by gundam hipsters because its the first thing many people see, and for many people its the only thing they see, and there's a desire to show how cool you are by liking better series.
That said, gundam wing was designed to bring girls into the genre, so I mean. There's cute boys in it.
My favorite gundam series is probably Zeta. But its hard to just watch Zeta and like it, you need to know the whole UC storyline to fully appreciate Zeta.
I also like G Gundam a lot
Oh and Gundam build fighters. Gundam build fighters is amaaaaziiiiiiiing.

I feel like a minority. I don't really enjoy anime in any form. I haven't read/watched everything obviously but those I have tried have all failed to capture my attention.

Is Force Unleashed considered canon after the purge?

oh ok nvm, googling makes life super easy
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kylo_Ren
+ Show Spoiler +he isn't a sith (so far as we know) he's a member of the Knights of Ren which I think were specifically created for this movie(?) and they act much like the way the sith sytem works
Honestly I think the movie is just gonna posssiblyyyy follow canon a bit but then completely deviate in its own unique way hence why some of the character names are not revealed yet and also why some of the known character's last names aren't shown either.

You're not alone. These are the conversations I just skim over.
+ Show Spoiler [D&D] + Had a hilarious D&D session last night. My players ignored following tracks that would have led them to a unicorn. They encountered an elvish civilization deep in the canopies of the trees - they were meant to arrive here. The crime syndicate they've been working with had to abandon their hideout in the city, but is holing up with these elves for now.
The Gnome tinkerer of the guild was passed out drunk with a perpetually filling tankard of ale. One of my players took it and continued to get smashed before the group had a meeting with the elvish matriarch. On the way to the meeting, that player wandered off, found an elf sleeping in a hammock, and traded the tankard for a place to sleep.
The matriarch informed the group of a super tiny, remote village in the woods. Normally the elves wouldn't care, but there is a secluded and mysterious lord that reigns there, locked away in his massive mansion. Recently some elvish scouts disappeared, and they believe that village to be the source.
So the party wanders off and arrives at the village, escorted by one of the elves. As they walk into the mansion, the elf vanishes, and a man appears on a banister high up on the wall. This is a maniacal man dressed in an assortment of odd colors. He is laughing with glee and invites the party to play some games with him (not that they had a choice).
The room goes black, and when light returns, they are in the center of a maze of mirrors. Any time they reach a dead end, they are ambushed by Shadows. The second encounter with Shadows ended in Garcia (the aforementioned drunkard) throws his spear, which passes through the Shadow and shatters the panes of mirror walls. The shockwave continues through, and the walls of the maze collapse. From the dust emerged several more pairs of Shadows. This fight almost took them out, each attack from the Shadows sapping the players' strength away more and more.
I'm seriously looking forward to continuing with Frimme's Funhouse, and now I have an extra week to think of puzzles/rooms.

I wonder how many people are hyped for the second ep of Gundam the Origen?
Because omg.
If they end up doing some real One Week War scenes I will have a heart attack and go to heaven.

Diehard Gundam fans (aka 1979-Zeta fans) will tell you that 00 first season was amazing and second sucked.
To a less niche audience, both seasons are very solid.

Cool D&D story, but I always wondered, are the players playing their game with a DM to facilitate them, or are they simply there to add pieces to the DM's story allowed only to stray momentarily from the plot? Like if the DM designs this big area for the party to go into, what if they make a decision at the gates to simply not go through it?
I'm bad at games like this.

It seems like out of nowhere all my friends have decided to play Dice Masters. Time to figure out which set I don't care about the least.

On the topic of anime, gamespot claims that Annie will be voiced by Kugimiya Rie in the Japanese version of the game.
Urusai?

idk man, pre 90's stuff is hard to watch for me (though I could deal with Captain Tsubasa somewhat). Yeah i really liked 00 besides the stupid + Show Spoiler +Lockon look-a-like twin brother thing . I watched Seed and Seed Destiny (aside from some cool pew pew I wish I could unwatch Seed Destiny) and that's it I think.
