I like unique combinations and mini rpg elements in games TD games. Tbh I find those on those meta online game sites (like kongregate) pretty fun lol It can be a pretty big grind yes. A lot of the custom maps involve stabilizing in a small area and then pushing out. Game includes time controls at least. There isn't really any RPG elements. There's no skill builds or tower upgrades or tower items or any customization around that.

The package I built for an American company is stuck at the border, nearly identical package i built for a Russian company has cleared customs without issue. I used to cross the US border without a passport or even an id as a child. I've sent probably 100 million of dollars worth of equipment to the US in my career... never had a problem. In fact I sent an identical skid down to the same company just 18 months ago no problem. Weird times indeed.

For my fiance's visa category they've now started deporting / criminally prosecuting people who file forms one day past the deadline, or for people who fill out the forms even partially incorrectly. She arrived June 5th and we have 90 days to: - Get married - Receive marriage certificate - Correct the errors on her visa (they wrote her name incorrectly) - Apply for her social security card - Receive her social security card - Apply for her green card - Apply for her work permit - Apply for her authorization to leave the country temporarily in case there's an emergency - Have a medical exam - Receive results of medical exam - Get together all of my financial documents (Tax returns, W2's, assets, everything) - Get together all of my families financial documents - Organize all of that for immigration services - Send it all AND have them receive it It's taking 3 weeks right now for some people to get acknowledgement of receipt of this stuff after it's sent and people are getting jailed for making a mistake on any one of those parts or for getting this receipt a single day late. Shit's fucked. PS: Somehow we are actually going to get it all done. Because we are awesome.

Or I guess more accurately, you're not welcome because you aren't "one of us" since you're a dirty socialist. /s

My cousin emigrated to live with his wife about 2 years ago and it was a nightmare. That sounds... ugh. I can't imagine. I'm pulling for you guys. It'll work out I think. ^_^ I just think it's so bizarre... 40 years of history selling plants to the US no problem, and suddenly we cant get things through the border? Lol. For what possible reason? You told me that two years ago I'd have laughed and hand waved you while teasing your naivety. Same with Russia; everything I've enter sent there has been held up at every single step of the way until certain squarely wheels were greased enough that paperwork was magically found and approved. Every step... shipping permits, item checks, on the ship, at the port, at Russian check stops, at site... each step had an inspector or three needing to be bought off or they'd kaibosh the whole thing, and they'd tell you as much openly. Literally the package i just sent cleared without a single hitch or question. Meanwhile I had expected to pay 5 to 10% of the plants value just to get it to site. There literally are exceptions to the moral / professional conduct requirements in Canadian engineering code that allow bribing of foreign officials because historically you didn't get work done without that cost of doing business. You told me two years ago that I'd ship a plant to Russia like I send a gift parcel to my friend an hour away I'd have scoffed. Both these things happening at once is kind of just blowing my mind. I've fulfilled my contractual obligations as soon as that package was loaded on the truck. No, this hurts US companies. The truckers and trucking companies, the natural gas producer losing millions every day from this delay; their American installers and operators whom expected to have weeks of overtime starting this plant up, and all that money not being exchanged long term to other American vendors. I guess long term this hurts us because trust is not there for us to be able to export successfully, reducing our access to market. But short term we're taking about an American producer being unable to process hundreds of millions of standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (trading at 2.5 usd per standard cubic foot) until the plant gets over the border or they buy a new one and wait for the year and a half for it to be constructed. Billions of dollars being cut off the market for... nothing? Idk. Its weird.

These tariffs are dumb and will do nothing for the American people outside of a certain segment feeling good about themselves because their guy acted tough while their neighborhoods atrophy further around them.

Honestly, it has been bad enough I have been worried for a while they might start deporting 2nd generation immigrants from certain countries wholesale. I've always assumed my citizenship was a given, but if you slip up even a little and aren't from "the right country" who the hell knows in these times. There was a really good documentary on the Chinese Exclusion Act that went through the whole history of racism against Asians in the US. Was pretty illuminating, because they bury this stuff and never teach it. Chinese Exclusion Act Documentary Balance and rule of law will probably return in due time, but it feels awfully dystopian until then. If I were dumped in Thailand, I would probably survive despite not knowing the language, but I can't even imagine trying to.

I just filled a prescription and had loss prevention guys follow me out of the store. After I filled a prescription. The thought of walking in somewhere, giving them my name, Phjone number, address, government ID, employment information, insurance, and recording the time I was there, and then commiting a felony in broad daylight in front of cameras is probably about as close as I can imagine the stupidest thing possible, aside from perhaps aiding hostile foreign aggression live on TV against your own military intelligence. And this mother fucker thought i was that dumb. I just.... Ooof. On the bright side, the Rayban's I've had for 10 years are apparently stylish and look like new. On a complete aside, what the hell else does one do while they wait for pharmacists to fill their prescriptions than walk around bored looking sketchy?
