+ Show Spoiler + So, I noticed some hearthstone chatter earlier. Here's a bit of a rant. I don't see the allure of playing it everyday. It seems more interesting to watch people who have all sorts of cards than to grind for these cards myself. This is what I end up doing at the moment. It's more interesting to watch, because it's fun to see experimental usage of cards than it is to grind for these lackluster "basic" cards. I'm still currently grinding for cards because I don't really want to pay for packs in beta. I play hearthstone only occasionally. I found it obscenely difficult to get new cards. (There is some comparison to LoL level grinding here. At least with LoL, I do not feel that it is as tedious as hearthstone grinding. I know how much LoL grinding sucks.) Leveling up each hero up to level 10 feels like a slower process than it might actually be. This is partly why from my experience: You are given two choices to grind. First, you have the choice to level up against bots(normal or expert), which isn't really that fun. It's just grinding, and you can easily learn bot patterns. Which makes things easier, but not really that much more entertaining or fun. The second is to use the play mode. This is more interesting, but due to your lack of cards, you won't end up winning that much. The lack of cards is definitely a disadvantage you feel/experience when you are in Play mode. This leaves you feeling terrible due to losing so much. Mostly since you will see cards you don't have access to, and wonder why you are even playing people who have these cards. I thought play mode would be more experimental, but it doesn't quite seem that way as a new player. Maybe once I get more cards, it might be better. So, I'm fairly sure most people just use bots for this leveling to 10 process. TL;DR, This process is way too tedious. Even once you get each hero leveled up to 10, you still are lacking in card variety. I don't know how to get past this tedious grind. I see the allure in arena play, since there is definitely more variety here. It's definitely more interesting than the other modes. The biggest problem is that it's 150 gold to actually play it. I don't really understand why Arena costs so much for new players. I can play once for free, then I have to start a new grind with daily quests to play one of the more interesting aspects of the game. Also I recently found that Rollplay show hosted by itmejp to be quite good. People should think about watching it.

There won't be any account wipes after beta so whatever you buy now is permanent on your account. You can get up to 60 gold a day in play mode (10/3wins six times), however the ease of which is augmented by your card pool. As a result, classes with stronger basic card bases make for better early "Play" decks. If you get a quest that will take a while, such as cast 20 6+ minions while running a weenie deck, you can opt out into a new quest(I think of same value?) by going to the quest log and clicking the red X on it. Also, don't beat yourself up about arena costs. If you come out of it with 50 gold, it's technically free + whatever extras you get.

From what I remember reading(granted it was a while back), I thought I read that there would be wipes, but you got refunded all gold spent from real money + got that shiny legendary card(lol).

This rollplay show really shines light on why people enjoy D&D. I had no previous experience of it directly. It seems like with a good group of people, you could really make some amazing stories. Rollplay D&D is pretty cool. It's cool to see how flexible Neal(the DM) is with his group. Rollplay Ebhon is also an interesting show that's just recently started. It also has a pretty fun cast.

For example, the judge was top half priest bottom half green power ranger (plus another power that I forgot) and I was two little rascals in an overcoat armed with cupid's bows accompanied by Ghengis Khan armed with a chan of whoopass and diamond armor from minecraft.
