Wait qhat? Oh fuck." *dies to a 6-7 card 2 rounds later*

WAV is uncompressed, unaltered sound, so it's technically the highest possible quality. MIDI isn't even the same kind of audio format as mp3/flac/wav/etc, so I don't even know what you're comparing here.

In the games you can choose between MIDI and Wav in the sound options, obviously MIDI isn't the kind of sound most people would listen too, but even in Wav the instruments/sounds make people say "ew, it sounds computed-generated, that's not music" which is what I meant by "the sound quality isn't too good and covers are 50% chance of being shitty". TL;DR unless you're relatively tolerant the sound quality isn't up to par with the melodies, and most people I know wouldn't even want to listen past 10s because they find the sonorities unfaithful and unpleasant.

the source is the problem in this scenario. the MIDI (for electronically sequenced) and WAV formats are probably the best possible formats in preserving exactly what the source sounds like - which could very well be crap, but don't pin it on the format! WAV has a lot of issues, quality is not one of them ![]()
