It's amusing how the teamwipe that turned it was basically caused by huge greed from NAR toward the WK, while yesterday's games had the WK basically useless because they'd always find a way to empty his mana pool before killing him (he still came back into the fight but that was by way of buyback  ). | ||

Satanic is one hell of an item and gives you 100% lifesteal (all damage) when active. Plus it gives you HP because it gives you Strength. Tis good item. I'm super hype for game 5, Liquid will be on dire (dire hasn't won a single game in this series  ) so hopefully we can see something super sweet come out. Gunna be a good game . | ||

Also could someone explain to me the Radiant vs Dire side advantage/disadvantages? I didn't quite catch what the casters said about dire offensive trilanes or something | ||

Some of them turned out ok, some of them look kinda blotchy. I want to touch them up a little bit at some point before Sunday when I put it up for voting. I also don't know how crazy I am about the edge highlighting. I feel like it needed to be done, but I don't know how well I did with it or if I chose the right color.. The biggest thing that stands out to me is that they seem sort of... plastic-y? Like, a matte plastic inset or something if you get what I mean. I'm not an expert, but something to look into is bringing in light to your piece. Highlights are ok, but in and of themselves don't have much value. You need an overriding idea/structure that guides the process and the issue of light and shadow helps with that. Don't overdo it. Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) is what you follow. Remember they're very fine small detail and need to be easy to view from a distance as well. This is a really nice set of examples about how light and shadow play over different sized and shaped gem like objects. You don't have to follow it, but it's a good reference for how colour plays out over objects. It's especially stunning if you get it to work across the entire model, but to be hoenst unless you're going for a Golden Demon Award it probably won't matter. It's also easier to pull the creepwave to you as the direside offlaner because of how the map shapes out. When people say they "Dire side advantage" they generally mean accessability to Roshan. Radient ONLY has the mid t1 that is remotely close to roshan. Where as Dire has Mid t1 and t2, and Bot t1 and t2. 4 >1 especially since mid T1 is so easy to push. | ||

I'm at work or I would be. I think red_ is sitting in one of the channels. Plus the DotA guys are sitting in their channel and are generally very willing to explain shit so long as you don't go full stupid . | ||

I didn't quite catch what the casters said about dire offensive trilanes or something Dire side has Rosh advantage through their mid t1 and both bot towers(t2 especially, which is amazing because it's a t2). also for some offlaners the ancients are very accessible but that's not much of a thing right now(since mostly stacking ancients is only for carries to later farm right now, not many offlaners that sneak off to farm them like in past metas). Radiant side has an offlane advantage, it's just generally considered easier to do so it opens up more heroes(a Nyx pick by SNA earlier was pretty criticized because he was going to be suicide offlane, which means 1v3, and he's not a hero that can deal with that on dire side, but on radiant he might have fared alright). Radiant jungle is also better for defensive trilane stacking/pulling, and the jungle is more accessible to flash farm mids like SF and Naga. I think pros consider it easier to smoke gank mid from Radiant side as well, probably because of where you can sit on top side of dire mid to setup the kill. Edit: I moved to a not passworded channel if anyone wants to hop on, I'll try to answer questions or explain things I think the casters didn't(or just explain if you don't have a caster selected). | ||
