500 or less 501-1000 1001-1500 1501-2000 2001 or over Maybe I'm just a high roller but these don't seem like very good categories. Is minimum wage in Turkey really garbage or something?

You pretty much place your army however you want, you just need to never have more than 2" between 2 models of a single unit (so you can clump them or have a thin line if you so wish). Some units can be kept in "reserve", they'll generally enter from your board side and are "fast attack" (?) units with good movement to catch up. Some have special rules (Space Wolves scouts are badasses that can be deployed from the enemy side) or "teleport" on the board, with risks of deviation and hazards ("deep strike" in French, dunno the official English term). It's got a lot to do with deployment and maneuvering since it's usually 5-7 turns each, so your slower units on foot won't be able to maneuver too much unless they get a transport. Necrons weren't too expensive when I played (they had very little choice and basically 0 customisation, although the Monolith was very expensive at €50), I spent ~150€ (1000 francs at the time) for 1000 points. 1000 is small, 1500-2000 is standard with 2000 hinging on the "big battle" side. Necrons sucked in small engagements because you needed at least 10 models (minimal unit size), 18 points each, for a "troops" choice (minimum 1 for patrols, 2 for standard battles), so that's 180 out of your 400 points gone in patrols. Apparently it's a bit better now that they nerfed the infantry (and thus reduced its cost) and introduced other troops choices.

Do we immediately gain access too our entire army? and if we do how does army placement work? @soniv, damn... dats an expensive hobby. lol. jesus christ guys, just play video games. I don't know how Req is keeping his SO happy if he's spending all that money on 40k. I mean, it's an expensive initial investment. After I get all the units I want, it's just assembly/painting. Sure codices change over time, but not with any high frequency. From what I can tell, it's a less expensive, but more difficult to get into, hobby than MtG
