I think it's fun in some ways. I mean for the most part, it's a bit difficult to play any game solo. It seems more centered around having a guild/clan to do massive events with. Every once in a while, I'll play it for the WvW(zerging) or the "Living Story" bit. I don't really know too much about the game. Although I have had it for a while, I don't play often enough or have invested too much time into it.
As an example, I got my character to level 80 a while back, but I still haven't "finished" the game. I'm on the final quest, but I don't know it it's possible to do it solo. I don't think it's supposed to be done solo.

I think the engineer class just isn't for me, but it is the only character I have at the moment.
Engineer is one of the most complex classes in the game 2nd only to elementalist so if you want something more strait forward you've got several options.
2ndly, Condition damage in general doesn't feel like it does damage but it does it's just a psychological thing of seeing smaller numbers but it's not ideal for quick killing. Something like HGH engineer(still viable as I recall) using zerker gear would give you more bang for your buck numbers wise and killing speed wise but requires alot of management.
It sounds like you are looking for something a tad less complex and more bursty/big numbery. I love my engy to death but I do also have a max'd war and ranger and I'll say I enjoy ranger more then warrior but warrior is a lot of fun.
Warrior with greatsword/hammer is hilariously amusing in fights and hammer/longbow or longbow/greatsword is just plain broken. Shinryuku_ku is a gw2 streamer on twitch who does Warrior and he's always answering questions/ has a youtube of his builds/stuff so check him out if you want more info. My forte is engineer mostly.
and nows a pretty good time to level one with the scarlet event going on at the top of the hour. Just open your loot bags on a max level for max level loots.
Still think the game has one of the more interesting WvW/pvp setups and the inner DAoC fanboy just loves wvw too much to not enjoy it.
I used to be in a huge guild but they went off to FF14 and I'am kinda alone by myself on Tarnished Coast. Honestly you just need to reach out to folks/ a guild and 90% of the time they love to help with storyline quests. I know when my guild was active we'd run like "normal/finish your story line dungeon" friday nights.

They did open world best, DAoC(judging by Warhammer mmo's failing) stumbled on RvR perfection.

I do enjoy the engineer condi builds. It's why I chose to play them/use them. Are you sure that the HGH engineer is still okay? I am mostly using the builds by Wolfineer(i think is the name I found on reddit. Using Dire items, and quite a lot of weapon switching) now. The problem is mostly that I stumble at weapon switching, and I haven't remapped my default keys(which is probably a part of the problem). I just think there's way too much effort involved in it for me at the moment, and I'd rather try other classes now. I have only ever played this class since I got GW2, so I just want to try something different. Thanks for the info about warrior and ranger! I will look into it, and probably make a new character soon.
I do enjoy the WvW aspect of the game as well.
Last question, does GW2 have some sort of color build mode or anything? I find that in large fights, I lose track of my mouse cursor more than I'd like. I am hoping people have a fix for this.

Eh anythings viable in pve/wvw if you are crazy enough to go nuts with it. They changed some traiting around so you have to be less survivable and have to rely on the smoke field stealth and no extra dodging but it's still fine and in wvw safer due to you know stuff like blobs and walls to protect ya. As far as remapping thats entirely up to you I am comfortable with default but some bind 6-9 to qwer.
Not that I know of. I tend to just watch for my green circles on grenades for the big fights or go bombs.

Ok thanks again. I'll probably go back to the HGH build since I at least know that tiny bit more than what I'm using now.

Guild wars 2 is pretty fun. I've never hit max level but 'm a sucker for button pushing and setting things up so my main characters are DD ele and DD thief (not the condi kind). Most of the other classes I'm played so far don't have enough buttons, though I also enjoyed hammer/greatsword guardian and ranger. Only problem is that the crafting system is a pain in the arse because I never have enough tiny totems and such to level up the craft before I get to the next area... and that's following guides too.
I forget which server I'm on... I'm not really in any guild or with anyone else though so it doesn't really matter I guess?

Build wars best wars.
Srsly. I remember the days when shadowform assassins were the tits in RA. I'm prolly super biased tho since my gw1 assassin was by far my favorite character.

Hi I am parn and I didn't care for gw1. Sorry.

I played GW:Nightfall for a while but just by myself, so only for a while. It was ok. WoW was a lot more fun, sometimes I think of going back.

I played GW1 with my dorm mates. Shit was fun. We chased giant turtles around and I sucked.

Lol got my first 0-3 Arena run, but opened up a golden Shadowflame, Golden Argent Commander, and a Hogger.
Hogger worth running in any deck or dust him?
edit: Also Wave you still/beat Dark Souls???
Just realized Dark Souls 2 is coming out soon for console.

Yeah, I realized Dark Souls 2 was coming out in a few days, so I had to hasten the fuck up and beat the original in time.
Edit: EXPLORER REPORTING

Yeah I haven't played it in a while 'cause D3. I'll come back to it.

Today I learned that exotic sushi isn't necessarily good sushi.
If you see icefish on the menu, be very careful...
