I don't know that I've ever met a guy who started playing volleyball thinking 'I'm going to be a sick libero.' I know some girls that took to it early because they start organized play earlier in general, but dudes not so much. Generally a libero is a guy that was a setter or a super athletic hitter that finally reached a level of play where not being 6'4" starts to just be too much to overcome, even with a sick vertical(probably because the 6'4 dudes are now all jumping just as high). Also, even most national level liberos are like 6 feet tall. I mean, the libero for the US men's national team that won in Beijing was 6'4."
Even basketball is historically a more 'short person' friendly sport than volleyball.
Springfield's Men's Volleyball team was super good (like, traveled to Russia for an international competition good), and I don't think a single person on that team was shorter than 6'4".

Hey man I'm barely over 5'9 and I play volleyball at the net so I'm not trying to say short dudes shouldn't play, especially at 'Friday night drunk league' or intramural levels where none of that matters. I'm just saying I can understand why short people don't want to, especially if they aren't crazy athletes. There is definitely a level of fun, and ego, that comes from roofing dudes 6 inches taller than you because they don't realize you have rockets in your shoes.

For whatever reason volleyball has become my 2nd favorite sport behind football(I still play in a bunch of different flag/touch leagues), so I know all about how tall the average player is when you get to high levels. My step-brother has played at the AVP level in beach and national level in indoor, so I've met numerous former college all-american and whatnot players through him, and they ALL tower over me, 100% of them, except a few of the defensive specialist or beach only players; what a shocker.

that reminds me of when i played pick up basketball. i'm 5'9ish and at the time i was 170# and this 250#+ guy was whining because i was "pushing" him when i set hard picks

That's in Enemy WIthin, right? I keep starting over, so I never finished the base game, so I'm going to be doing that over the next couple days while I wait for my friend's to get and teach me the Doto's

Mirana support only works as a roaming support in pubs simply due to having a 3000 range up to 5s stun. You basically have to snowball hard enough off getting kills that you can play a carry later.
Which basically means it's effectiveness is entirely decided by "how good am I at hitting arrows?"
