Random Ability Draft Trade the organized chaos of Dota 2 for a taste of pure bedlam! Unlocked at level 11, in this mode each player is randomly assigned a hero, and each hero's abilities are placed into a pool. Players then take turns choosing which abilities their hero will bring into battle. You get someone like Earthshaker who's melee and has one of the most awful cast animations in the game, you're basically fucked no matter what skills you get. As such, most recent versions of the mode involved hero models getting picked/drafted, which was much more fair. The equivalent game mode in League would be much more balanced because there's less variation in base stats/cast animations/etc. On January 28 2014 10:02 Alaric wrote: It seems to take ages to level in DotA compared to LoL, yup.
