Trade the organized chaos of Dota 2 for a taste of pure bedlam! Unlocked at level 11, in this mode each player is randomly assigned a hero, and each hero's abilities are placed into a pool. Players then take turns choosing which abilities their hero will bring into battle. It seems to take ages to level in DotA compared to LoL, yup. Note that the mode (or a variant of it) already exists in War3 DotA, it's just most of them have never been ported to DotA 2.

it was so good. there was this raw salmon taco thingy I had there, fucking amazing. The shell was fried wanton skin, the inside was this sweet sauce on raw salmon with tomatoes, and a little bit of lime. it was fucking delicious

Yeah a rush deck with low drops getting 11 wins isn't surprising. It's not like you drafted Magma ragers or Vanish or something like that. Card quality is decent on average, and rogue is great at snowballing early game victories. Unless you were facing 4 swipe druid decks there's not many classes with enough removal for you.

actually it was sprint and perdition blade that were MVP. most decks stopped my 1/2 drops easily.

I'm guessing you didn't have many wins where you didn't have board control for the first 5-6 turns. You got out early and forced them to deal with you and used your somewhat weak lategame to seal the deal. I could be speculating but that's how I see this deck losing, to midrange/slower decks with enough removal and plenty of healing. I'm guessing you did fine vs early aggro decks.

I love halo and I agree its not a good game on PC. The game and weapons are not designed for use with mouse and keyboard.

Amusingly, random heroes is imbalanced as hell because when everyone drafts from the same pool of skills, having superior base stats/animations/etc. swing the game heavily. You get someone like Earthshaker who's melee and has one of the most awful cast animations in the game, you're basically fucked no matter what skills you get. As such, most recent versions of the mode involved hero models getting picked/drafted, which was much more fair.

The equivalent game mode in League would be much more balanced because there's less variation in base stats/cast animations/etc.

In terms of # of games, level 15 is about equivalent to level 30 in LoL.

I would be legit surprised if I don't have the best FPS credentials of people that visit this thread(although they'd be dated, but dated perfectly for the time when Halo came out and was an incredible letdown).

If you actually put time into Halo PC it's probably because you were AWFUL at every other FPS on the PC, there is literally no other reason I can fathom for putting time/effort into that game on this platform.
