1. Polls are kinda silly, since it's much easier to click "5s" than it is to actually go find 5 ![]() 2. This frames it as an either/or kinda thing when that's not at all what I'm suggesting =O

Ya, I'm in if scheduling can work out. Especially if Roffles is there to tell me how bad I am and help me get better like last time.

i don't know if expanding the userbase is part of the goal 'to forge a stronger TL LoL community', but i think that inhouse support for setting up 'serious' premade groups is a draw factor that TL is well positioned to lead in maybe this isn't desirable from the perspective of everyone currently playing in the IHs, but the two setups aren't mutually exclusive and might even benefit from the other's existence i hadn't been caught up on this thread (specifically page 139) when i first wrote this post, and although i understand why premades aren't feasible at the moment i'll be hopeful for the future

There are multiple reasons, but the one which might be the most important for these inhouses specifically, is that set teams actually accomplish pretty much the exact opposite of bringing a community together. Once the teams are set, it becomes about the teams individually, even if they are using each other for practice for some period of time. I'm not saying there will instantly be crazy rivalries and people getting pissed off and fighting, but it's 100% natural to care more about your team and your team's improvement or enjoyment(or both). It also minimizes the amount of people you play with, because you are always playing with your team vs 5 other people, simple math, which is only further compounded when you consider that your team out of necessity will be formed out of a subset of the people who play at the same time you do, which is already a factor in scheduling these inhouses(the players cycle at different times of the night, different days of the week). If you want to breed community with 5s as a cornerstone it almost has to be with small tourneys or mini-leagues which will diversify who everyone plays with so players still feel like they are more connected to the TL group as a whole.

Also not sure how well the channel name for a day thing is really working out, it might be better to go back to specific times and perhaps not every day, to give it more focused time slots. But now that the end of season grind is over, this particular point may be null and void.

Crowning achievement: Last ranked SR match I played during season 3. I rarely play ranked, and never solo Q, so this was a nice way to end things. Enemy team was two plat 5s and three gold 1s. I'm gold 5, four teammates were gold 1. Counter ganked top for first blood and red buff onto Renekton, lane over. Converged on enemy blue (he ganked at level 2 wut) and got Morgana a double kill and blue buff (and basically made Lee useless). Did something bot lane and got Varus huge. Felt really good to make plays at the gold/plat level. Not sure what I was doing for the other 14 kills, but I guess it didn't matter. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

If people agree to one role (perhaps with exceptions for the plat/diamonds), that information can be used to form proper teams for more organized matches. That's not to say permanent teams but rather we can actually pick a team that has one of each role in it instead of the current method of first to join the lobby which often results in people not playing the role they actually play. I don't really have much faith in ability to properly organize something like this though. A few people would have to step and actually dedicate their time and effort to it (since it goes beyond just saying tl1/1 and "lol teams are balanced (jk jk) go go")... I'm certainly not the one to do that since I've only shown up a handful of times, don't really communicate very well, and don't have the time to spare consistently...... some publicly accessible information might be useful, like a google spreadsheet of people's preferred roles and skill level so that anyone can properly balance teams instead of just the few people in the know. Also not sure how well the channel name for a day thing is really working out, it might be better to go back to specific times and perhaps not every day, to give it more focused time slots. But now that the end of season grind is over, this particular point may be null and void. This would work all well and good, but there's not enough of us dedicated supports to make it work. Especially higher level supports, as I think the other dedicated supports are silver-gold range (and of course myself being bronze). Others can definitely do it, but their skill level decreases moderately when playing support over their other roles (2sang pls).
