As the Kennen, I want to play aggressively when I have near max charges, and land that charged auto. If I have 0-2 charges, I have to respect your all in and must back off. That's when you get in your cs or play aggressive. Kennen's strength against melee, even those with a gap closer, is the charged auto + Q + W immediately procing a stun, and then autoing you to win trades. E is used as a last resort, and is extremely dangerous for me when it's on cd against a gap closer. I will not use Q to farm against melee, except when I'm backed off and want to get a cs. If you play against a Kennen that wastes Q be sure to punish him immediately with QW. If you can avoid either the Q or charged auto (i.e. he doesn't have enough charges), then he cannot stun you without blowing his Lightning Rush, which means you can all in with EQW before his E is back off cd. The ideal scenario is to force an immediate E from him after you QW, and immediately walk away, so you minimize auto harass done back to you. Of course, if you hit 2 first all of this is moot, as your all-in at 2 is enough to completely cripple a Kennen, especially if he started Dblade and has no sustain. Also, you are stronger when both are level 2 if he has 0-2 charges, and you can Q in and win the trade. If he hits 3 first then he is pushing lane, so he dies to gank as long as you land your stun. If you hit 3 first, your EQW all-in is enough to push him out of lane. | ||
