Well, tbh I didn't realize Soraka was that annoying until today... maybe I have just played vs. bad ones for most of the time or enemy Soraka's team didn't fit her kit (she definitely really excels in tanky team comps where + 350HP / + 100ish armor make a bruiser next to unkillable).
But today after a losing streak with my usual playing group (the one that has a the above mentioned skill differences...) I was invited by a recently picked up contact to play with his folks who are all so much higher ELO than me.
I even got to play my favourite role (AD carry) all the 5 games and had a pretty good support with me, but ffs, I just couldn't do shit in the 2 games the enemy got Soraka + Ez respectively Soraka + Graves (we had Ignite with us but that didn't change anything). We got horribly destroyed those games.
To top it all off, playing with these guys caused me to realize how different the game is when you are actually a good player and how bad I still am...
However, it was a pretty good experience and I was surprised that they immediately let me join their 'second tier ranked team' (the one where nobody cares about its rating lol) to play with me. We ended the gaming session 3:2 (the two Soraka games...) with me carrying one game pretty hard so they weren't even mad at me. Faith in LoL community restored.

You can perfectly throw with a positive score. My last post here mentioned a Riven that received a quadra from a fucking Mummy on steroids, and got the kills when we roamed/ganked his lane, so he was positive, and he still threw by getting caught all alone far from us without wards or anything several times in a row.

I guess I shoulda been more clear, our jungler(retard J4) was dead and Me, the retard Graves, and Janna were the only ones alive, I flash through baron wall, at this point we had only 1 nexus turret up and 2 inhibits down, to try to steal baron cus it was literally the only shot we had to stay in the game, I didn't get the steal and died immediately after. In my books, I dont think that was a throw

It was, probably. It does not matter if you get the baron, if in that situation they get a 50 second 5v4 starting at baron, especially when the most fed player of the enemy team is the one who is dead, there is no way the 4 can defend even with baron. While you can always win a 5v5 under a turret if they get cocky. It probably was lost anyways, but still dying for baron in that situation would probably not be worth it.

Fucking 4 man groups in Normal Draft still gives you last pick. They don't have a support person, and I'm last pick. They ban Soraka, Blitzcrank, and Alistar. Enemy team takes Janna. Fuck this.

They need to fix the ranked 5s MM system in regards to placement matches. I am sick of searching and either getting roflstomped by a bunch of plat players doing placement, and the next game playing a group of unranked and having a boring 20m.

Well, at least it makes it so that individual solo queue ELO counts in ranked 5x5 match making (some red post stated it somewhere iirc). Me and one of my ranked teams played against the same full plat premade 3 times in a row which dropped our W/L ratio into the negative.
However, we only lost like 10ish ELO per game because no one of us was above 1.6k at that time. Ofc, doesn't make you feel good, but I'm pretty sure that you're not losing the full 40-50ish ELO you usually gain / lose during the first seeding matches when a loss is that obvious.

I actually went AD Annie when playing a normal with my gf and it worked pretty well
Annie has an awesome range and a (AOE-)stun, so it could be worse.

Now that I've started Ranked a lot, I come to this thread more and more.
Cass kills Morde ~8 times in lane. That's good, but it's obvious he's bad and worth no gold at this point. Yet she keeps going after him and dying to his team, then raging about how bad we are and how she has to carry us. A CASS has 21 farm at 20 minutes. Proceeds to go 9-10 and complain about how no one deserves to be at her ELO.

QQ Fuck Jungle alistar who can gank mid lane from 6 different ways. I say "Buy wards" and "play carefully", and he just comes from our jungle and goes THROUGH the turret (without his ult) and pushes me into his ally.
