Welp. herO 2-0's Special, so he claims 1st place. Special needs to hope that DRG can hold off Solar because if he wins he'll have 7 wins to Special's 6.

So now Special depends on DRG taking the last map, right, even tho he's already out. It seems unlikely DRG would fight that hard, right?

ionno why people are making such confident assumptions about player effort
If you've been watching SC2 more than casually, you'll know that eliminated players in round robins have ruined shit for other players PLENTY of times. I almost never question the effort level of eliminated players in IEM/GSL.

I don't think Elazer wasn't trying to win, but it did feel like he was off his game. Maybe he was in a bad headspace or didn't actually believe he could win.
Felt like and old Creator kind of series.

Maybe Elazer was just having a bad day and would have done better if they didn't split the group into 3 days

Oh no, depending on how ESL draws up these brackets, cuz I can never be sure how they do it. But if it's in traditional ABCD format, then I think Reynor, Serral and Maru are all going to end up on the same side of the bracket.
e: assuming Maru takes 1st place in his group.
