From the look of the bracket Cure and Zest are likely going to be playing each other in the ESL Open Cup Asia. I wonder how that affects the mentality and mindgames going into this.
Of course they're some of the biggest players of online cups, so maybe that doesn't faze them.
edit: Well Zest ended up losing to Creator, so if we needed any additional confirmation that his PvP wasn't in the best shape (we didn't) there it is.

Cure 4-1 Serral Cure 0-4 Reynor
Looks like Reynor has clearly overcome Serral as the best European Zerg, at least online.

Yeah, at the moment it seems that way. Doesn't have to be forever though. Serral just seems a bit off his game. He is still insanely good, but he makes so many uncharacteristic mistakes. Like when against Cure he just randomly lost 2 Queens to one Liberator. He used to be almost flawless but recently his play is often very "unclean", especially early on.

With only one of the Evil Zergs left in the tournament I guess the Reynor win is inevitable.

Honestly, this just shows how much of a monster Serral was mechanically in his prime

Cure beating Special and Clem and Serral is an impressive series of knocking down/out foreigners in this tournament. Given his 0-4 against Reynor yesterday, I can't see him beating Reynor today if they meet up again, but it would certainly complete his apparent foreigner-killer role.

Don't know if it can amount to a win for Cure but he is certainly capable of playing much better than he did yesterday. Most games were lost for him due to failed early game strategies, if he plays more straight up I think his chances are much better. It also didn't work out very well for him to go tanks, it could go much better if he plays MMMM.
For what it's worth Cure reverse swept Solar in the finals to win the KR ESL weekly today.

I must say Reynor has got a huge advantage with the time. He start at midday and will end somtimes in the evening. His brain will be very much awake and alert all the time. While the koreans will undoubtedly will make more mistakes and be a bit slower having to play late evening/ night.... too bad.
I know some like to play during the night, but the brain will NOT function the same during the night as in the day.

They're probably very good at adapting their sleep schedule

Yeah, i know, i have seen some insane games as well by players playing late at night. But that doesnt change the fact the it is not the optimal time for MOST people. Most likely they would have played as good, or maybe done a few things better with a slightly more alert brain.
But yes, they are forced to adapt themselves to the situation and probably is good at reducing the risk of making small mistakes.
But again, considering how we have evolved and what most are adapted for since the dawn of time (or what studies show) and that sc2 is insanely fast for these guys i think it is quite clear that a EU person playing a final at 9 in the evening or a korean at 4 in the morning, the korean are more likely to missa nova, a drop, not getting of a feedback, missing to split perfectly etc...
