I think this might actually be one of the hardest groups Serral could have gotten. Can always see him drop Bo3s against Drogo and Neeb tbh. But I just watched Serral vs Inno Game 2 and wtf was that? The way he outmanouvered Innos nukes by constantly repositioning the spores and even baiting Innos army into them in the end. Inno looked so helpless and he was playing out of his mind. At the end Inno had lost 20k gas to Serrals 10k. Just crazy to see such high level ZvT out of a person who plays the top Koreans only a few times a year. If there is a god Maru and Serral meet in a final this year and we get the highest level TvZ of all time. But knowing how shit like this goes down it will probably be a one sided series with tons of 2 raxing.

Infestors/Vipers need nerfs

Showtime seems on fire and, while I would love to see Ragnarok advance, I fear his ZvP isn't good enough to take Dear down. Serral will be extensively tested in his weakest matchup. Zest should comfortably advance on top of his PvP, let's see exactly how good Serral really is in ZvP but he should definitely advance. Group D is the most difficult to predict, Heromarine seems incapable of beating good koreans, Stats doesn't have a stellar TvP and seemed shaky today, Gumiho's level is hard to gauge and Reynor is not very consistent outside of WCS; let's say Reynor and Gumiho.

Infestors/Vipers need nerfs Serral is the only top zerg who regularly crushes terrans in super lategame. Maru wrecks zergs in extra lategame. You may be correct, but I think at the highest levels - it is debatable. Seems to me - the player better wins in ZvT/TvZ. I would still think Maru is a favorite or at least an equal in a bo7 v any zerg playing today.

I'd really like to see our Finnish boy play against the disgusting (not in a bad way...I think haha) BC play Maru pulled out in WCG.

Unfortunately, Blizzard seems to like the playstyle, which is why massing infestors behind static defence is still a thing while mass ravens and mass carriers (deservedly) got removed from the game.

My skill, ability and game knowledge are each variables that open the door for an incorrect assessment. I stand by my assessment regarding Maru and Serral. The lategame isn't broken enough to give Serral or any zerg an auto win against at least one terran. At weaker levels of play, many things feel 'broken' due to skill disparity and ease of execution. Which at my level is why so many Zergs shed tears about O.P toss while believing they should get away with thoughtless and bland swarmhost play.

Even 3rd and 4th prize money is barely going to cover travel and accommodation expenses which players are responsible for. Asus really should have covered airfare and accommodation for participants of this tournament. The prizepool is really reminiscence of the dreamhack tournaments of old. With the winner winning 10k and only the top8 get anything at all. I'd say it's reasonable for a weekend tournament that's independently hosted.

Group A: This group is absolutely nuts and the undoubtedly the group of Death. it would be more scary if Solar was swapped for Serral, but I think this is scary enough with 4 Koreans. As for me, hoping for a soO/herO result. herO vs Innovation soO vs Solar soO vs herO Innovation vs Solar herO vs Innovation Group B: Another strong group, Showtime and Dear look a cut above the rest, and as a Toss main, they have my vote, Time looks great but I think his TvP is just a bit short of beating Dear and Showtime. Showtime (who is 4-0 vs Koreans this tourney) advances first with superb vZ and vP followed by Dear who beats Time twice. Dear vs Time Showtime vs Ragnarok Showtime vs Dear Time vs Ragnarok Dear vs Ragnarok Group C: I'm gonna be honest, I fear for Neeb, him beating Serral would be more likely at the start of the year when he had better vZ, but now... I don't know. Don't know much about his or Zest's vP so not sure how that'll matchup. My head is Serral/Zest but my heart is Neeb/Serral (or Neeb/Zest but I don't think Serral will allow that to happen). Either way: Serral vs Ptitdrogo Neeb vs Zest (Hoping) Neeb vs Serral Zest vs Ptitdrogo Serral vs Zest Group D: With Stats form yesterday I think this group might be more difficult to predict. I still have my favorites if he does show up today. This group is still crazy though. Anyone can go through in my honest opinion. Still gonna go with Stats/Reynor though. Reynor vs Stats Gumiho vs HeroMarine Reynor vs Gumiho Stats vs HeroMarine Stats vs Gumiho As a result, these are my (once again, Heart, not Head, although some do make sense in my head too) predictions: In advancing order: Group A: soO, herO Group B: Showtime, Dear Group C: Neeb, Serral Group D: Reynor, Stats I can also see that I predicted 0 Terrans to advance to the Ro8, and with this roster of Terrans I can see this happening. Honestly, it's up to Innovation and Gumiho to carry the Terran banner, I don't think Time can do it (But I'd like to be pleasantly surprised if Time does upset Dear)
