I will never understand why people cheer for a foreigner for no reason other than them being born outside of korea You see what I mean when i mention hate? Here's another one implying Serral is loved because he is not korean. That's such an incredible bias. Might be that people cheer for Serral because he is unbelievably good? Five meaningless and boring series then there comes a ZvZ involving Serral and you have incredible games. His streak and period of domination are unprecedent, the weird fact was actually him not dropping a game in the extremely volatile Sc2. This weekend he showed up with uncharacteristic errors, weird indecisiveness and questionable decision making by his standards still looking an absolute top tier player. He deserves nothing but respect. If you aren't new to sc2 you know that people have had an undo amount of love for Snute, Mana, Naniwa, etc. because of their foreigner status, and Serral's fanclub probably hasn't grown much since winning GSL vs The World. By the way, his dominance isn't unprecedented, because Serral barely plays against top players. Life and Innovation both had stronger periods of dominance, even if they didn't win 25 series in a row or whatever. Not to mention Maru's 2018.
Man, there is no longer streak and nobody ever won as many consecutive premier tournaments. The streak is the longest even if we count only koreans. Maru's 2018 is out of the question, Inno actually got reverse swept during his period of dominance while MVP and Life indeed looked extremely dominating in 2011 and 2012; the scene was different tho so that they didn't remain undefeated as long and didn't win as many tournaments. I am not saying Serral is the GOAT and you will never take into consideration non korean tournaments because they are nothing to your eyes. That's a mere opinion, results are results.
People surely loved foreigners becauase of their ethnicity but loved korean as well because of their skill; no american player was ever called Captain America if I am not wrong. Serral has reached another level, he is by far the best foreigner all time and was the best player in 2018(I know you won't agree, it's pointless to let me know that another time); saying he is highly regarded only because he is non korean is highly offensive.
As for the immature fans, well, you guys don't seem me very mature to me. I didn't see you guys praising Serral's skill when he won BlizzCon despite you not liking him, a good sport would have. I, for instance, would very much compliment soO today for his killer instinct.
Considering how unpopular sc2 is in Korea, it seems me korean have a good number of fans. Especially here on Team Liquid.

I didn't realise I would live to see ENCE CSGO > ENCE SC2 this year.

Yes, against Astralis or MiBR. If it's the danes second place will be a nice performance.

MC knows how to bullshit and 1-base your way in PvP.

I hope soO doesn't get another 2nd place... And Serral still manages to look pretty good in defeat (unlike Maru). Now that Terran is out of the tournament I think Maru looks very good. His 2-0 vs Dark is the single most impressive thing a Terran did during this tournament. It is more impressive than Innovation 2-1ing Serral. While Serral is probably the best ZvP and ZvZer (despite this loss to Soo) I don't even think he is top 3 in ZvT. Do you really? Leenock and Neeb played well, but not that well. He looked off but he still barely lost to them. Almost every terran in this tournament lost to someone you wouldn't normally expect them to. Maru probably had the most impressive single match performance of the whole tournament for Terran but at the end of the day he was still out in the group stage. Hard to say he performed strongly with that in mind. All Terrans were out in the group stage besides TY who had a 3 terran group and really easy zergs. Maru would have gotten out of that group as well. If you can lose to Leenock you can lose to Solar (RagnaroK is Lambo in this analogy). Solar wasn't in TYs group. I'm not saying Maru would have beaten Solar. I'm saying if Maru and TY swapped groups Maru probably gets out and TY doesn't.
Oh yeah probably. My mistake I was thinking of Group C. Though the way he was playing he probably wouldn't have gotten any further than TY.

Is MC StarCraft 2's Boxer? I remember that one Proleague game where he randomly showed up and spanked Oz' at-the-time ace Zerg (who was inexplicably not Jaedong).

I really dislike this build from Neeb, it just looks bad, similar army and probes while down a nexus
