Check out their podcast here or click the image below. 1st - $75 2nd - $25 Single Elimination Best of 3 series for all matches except for the best of 5 Finals Rules JOIN CHANNEL "GAUNTLET" ON NA SERVER Check in starts 30 minutes before the tournament. If you do not check in, you will be disqualified. Players will have 15 minutes to begin their match from the first time that both players are available. If a player does not respond within the allotted 15 minutes, their opponent will be awarded a walkover. This tournament is open to any player of any skill level. (GLOBAL) Join the "Gauntlet" in-game chat on the NA server to find your admins, casters, and opponents. The maps will be picked using the ABAB format used in WCS. The higher seed bans first (A). The second player bans (B). The bans continue until only three maps remain. The Higher seeded player then picks the first map, and the Lower seeded player picks the second map. (ABAB ABC) Games will be played on whichever server both players agree to. In the event an agreement cannot be reached, games must be played on the US Central server. If you are playing your games in another region, please make admin aware before switching servers. ALL of these rules, as always, are at the current admin's discretion. Ctone23 United States1839 Posts August 28 2018 16:15 GMT #15 Quick update on the tournament series, after this weeks event on 9/2, I am going to be suspending my half of the sponsorship for the Global Open. Whether the event continues on will be up to the other sponsors, but for me personally it's time to take a step back and reevaluate what it is i'm trying to accomplish. Paypal fees and other behind-the-scenes stuff are the primary reasons, as I can no longer justify the event with mostly the same players playing each week, low signups, and little to no growth of the channel. Gauntlet Global events have always been a joy to watch and also to sponsor. It's been a privilege watching guys like JustJordan, Falcon, Shyrshadi, and others cast the event week after week. Big thanks to PhoenixTears, #1 admin and all around boss, thanks for always dealing with the problems with absolute class. I'm not sure what the future holds for Gauntlet, I'm getting married in October and will reevaluate things at that time. I had hoped we would be doing other Gauntlet events (w/ Bobby and Element) by now, but unfortunately nothing has materialized.
