I couldn't care less if the guy in question hacked. If he could hack, I'm sure he would, and that's the main problem. There isn't a sport in the world that is taken seriously, where there is no punishment/deterrent for cheating. In baseball, if you fail "x" amount of tests, you get a life ban. First sign of cheating is an automatic 50 game ban. What has irked me is... does anyone know what the punishment for being caught hacking in WCS is? Do you just get banned for that qualifier? That year? It's basically like trying to a rob a bank every day, and if they caught you today you simply say "shucks, maybe tomorrow." No risk, only reward. They don't want to get into the business of banning people, since they can't actually confirm it unless they were at their house while they were playing, so they just act like everything is legit. Nerffy qualify? Yeah, he's prob legit now. You know... didn't really see anything suspicious this one game. It's a facade/joke.

Also, just to clarify thing here, Retribution is qualified for WCS Challenger for NA. He is not yet qualified for DH Austin. If he makes it to top 4 of Challenger then he is qualified for Ro32 of DH Austin. Don't get confused here.

WTF is this requirement? 15 games a day during the promotion window. The promotion window is 3 hours. So that's an average of 12 minutes per game including queuing time. Thus, it is very unlikely anyone can complete 15 games in the 3 hour promotion window even if they play non-stop. Every game has to be a rush?

It doesn't say during, it says between. As in 15 games during the time after a promotion window closes but before the next one opens up.

That wording is strange. Why not just say players must complete 15 games a day? That sentence could even be interpreted as 15 games a day at any time not including the 3 hour promotion window (i.e. the time between the windows), which wouldn't make much sense as a requirement. Anyway, 15 games a day is reasonable.

I think PiG is a bit naive if he thinks there are no hacks in LOTV (he mentioned that during the cast of the final series) Regardless, someone who has a history of hacking on ladder should not be allowed to play in something like this. It's a shame and really hurts the integrity of the game. Hoping Blizzard revises their policy and moves more to a zero tolerance for people who cheat

do i think this means a hacker should be allowed through a qualifier? no, it seems like there's a real chance this dude is nero/is a hacker/etc., and in that case it's correct for him to be DQed. but avilo's complaints are narrowly self-absorbed - he just keeps repeating "i don't want 'MY SPOT' to go to a hacker," "this has happened to ME before," etc. he doesn't really give a shit about anything but making excuses for the fact that he lost, and the fact that he has a valid excuse this one time out of 100 doesn't change why people think he's obnoxious and will continue to think that

Their is clearly no vetting of players before the tournament begins, and the admin was clearly only there to get matches going and record result. Whilst he did say he had a look at the video his next response was 'it is being passed on and at the moment their is no one who can look at it, Avilo raging is not going to make people come into the office any quicker,' in a roundabout way. Why would you run a tournament of this caliber with just one guy doing admin and no other officials on hand to go over such incidents? I did feel sorry for the admin as clearly his hands were tied, but their should be more in place from ESL to be able to address these issues as they arise. Avilo's babay-raging and constant spamming of the ESL chat was immature at best, especially after he had been given a response from an admin. However it seems as though he did have valid concerns and must have felt like he was banging his head against a brick wall. This is where 'the boy who cried wolf' comes into it. Obviously he isn't as credible when reporting hackers as other players are because he does it so often. In his defense however he does tend to get sniped an awful lot, on the odd occasions I watch his stream he plays the same people over and over again. This infers he is being sniped a lot and 'possibly' by cheaters. Kaelaris was clearly getting frustrated on the main stream and was right to move onto casting another game, perhaps he shouldn't have inferred that Avilo is just whinging. What Avilo said about Kaelaris is not acceptable, 'a beta cuck' and 'keep his pussy mouth shut', should be enough to receive a kick from any tournament, obviously he was very frustrated at this point, but verbally abusing staff is going to get him nowhere. A few people in the WCS chat room, basically calling Avilo a shit player and then worse calling him an autistic and saying he has Asperger's, should also be punished, these things are not really nice to say and eSports as a whole needs to try and do something about these kind of slurs as they are not welcome and would certainly get people fired from their day jobs, and should also get people booted from tournaments. What can be done? From a viewers perspective it seems like the admin has an impossible job, players should be vetted before hand, (not really sure how this can be done but ESL should be doing this), a zero tolerance approach put in place with regards to any abusing any staff OR any other player. More than one person should be available to look through replays and a decision should be made during the tournament. The WCS chat room was a complete shit show and makes the NA scene look like a bunch of kids, this chat room should be treated with respect and dignity for all players and organisers. It's should be administrated. Grats to 3 of the people who qualified and good look to others participating tonight, lets hope the emphasis can be on good games rather than drama.

So well-said in so many levels. I wish we have the "like" button here for this post. I understand hackers should not be allowed to play at WCS events but it takes time to verify the accusation. Throwing tantrums and trash-talks are so immature and unprofessional which is frankly typical Avilo. I think Avilo posted in here and complaining if it was another other players, the admin would take accusation more seriously. I was like "You are damn right". You have such a bad reputation because you accuse everyone hackers. Duh!

It's sad the SC2 community is so far gone to the point that people won't accept there are hackers and then when a player is wronged in a tournament from a known hacker some people try to make me out as the bad guy as usual. This scene is a mess atm. Even worse is known casters and a few known personalities keep denying that there are MH for some reason.
