Not that they ever were, but one can dream! i dont understand it. esl page says match time was 5:30 PDT. i show up at 5:32 and see timestamped messages from 20 mins ago saying i need to do vetoes now. and a timestamped message from 5:2X (forgot the time exactly) saying it was my last chance.
from the rules:
2.5. No show If a participant is not ready to play 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, please submit a protest ticket. This is the fastest way to get your match checked to move on to the next round. so match time was 5:30 PDT, the process to give my opponent a walkover shouldn't even begin until 5:45 PDT. i ask admin and he says this is just how it's always been. matches always start immediately. idk what the match time is for on the site

I've heard that when you look for something constantly, you will tend to see it everywhere regardless of if it's there or not.

It's too bad avilo's losing. We won't get the opportunity to see him accuse yet another player of hacking.

I did kind of want to see avilo reach the second qualifier...so that when he eventually lost, he couldn't blame hacking

yeah - i would love to see him in the qualifier losing to someone "big" and then goes full roflcopter and accuses scarlett or someone of that caliber of hacking
sorry avilo but you are such a chimp :/

For all the terrible things he does, the scene needs someone like Avilo. He's like the court jester, someone to laugh at while the important people do important things.

You really wanted avilo to accuse you of hacking?

He'd start balance whining instead.

I played avilo in broodwar once at a LAN center and he complained about lag, literally while we were playing on LAN.
I actually couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes.

I doubt he would blame Neeb or TRUE of hacking. You underestimate his saltiness/paranoia. In his mind he only loses because of maphackers, streamsnipers, and Blizzard not knowing what they are doing.

Is the American Silky better than the Chinese Silky? They seem pretty close in skill to me.

In the course of our investigation, we discovered that Vindicta was one of several players logging into accounts that had been actioned for hacking in the past, and also had known hackers logging onto accounts under his name. In light of this, Vindicta has received a ban from play through WCS Austin and WCS Jönköping Challengers and main event, and his position in the WCS Challenger North America Playoffs has been revoked.
Matches will be held among some players he eliminated in NA Cup #1 to determine his replacement.
oh shit, avilo got another chance
wait nevermind, excludes avilo ahaha
Avilo’s behavior during and after his match with Vindicta grossly violated our player conduct guidelines, and cannot be tolerated. Due to the continued breaches of conduct, he will be disqualified from any WCS Austin - Challenger NA competition. However, he will remain eligible for the open bracket at WCS Austin and all other WCS competition
|
We also take player behavior very seriously. In the 2017 WCS Rules section 6.1 we outline our expectations that players will behave in a sportsmanlike manner outside of the game and treat all involved with respect.
Vindicta was removed, and so was avilo.
