i dont understand it. esl page says match time was 5:30 PDT. i show up at 5:32 and see timestamped messages from 20 mins ago saying i need to do vetoes now. and a timestamped message from 5:2X (forgot the time exactly) saying it was my last chance.

If a participant is not ready to play 15 minutes after the scheduled match time, please submit a protest ticket. This is the fastest way to get your match checked to move on to the next round.

so match time was 5:30 PDT, the process to give my opponent a walkover shouldn't even begin until 5:45 PDT. i ask admin and he says this is just how it's always been. matches always start immediately. idk what the match time is for on the site

Sorry to hear that, pal. When it comes to online event like this, you gotta to show up early as things get pretty hectic via chatting and everything.

You still should go to open bracket at Austin though.

The tournament began at 5 PDT and Nony show up at 5:30 PDT? That's 30 minutes late. There has never been a match time for SC2 in qualifiers, all matches have pretty much always started when the bracket was ready.

it was on the right side where the sign up and check in buttons were before the tournament started. tournament launched, you get assigned an opponent. it now says your opponent there and for me it said the full date and time of my match against that opponent. i was there at 5 for the launch of the tournament. saw that i got a first round bye and figured that was the reason my match wasn't starting until 5:30

yeah i already posted that that's what the admin told me. but how am i supposed to know that in advance? the site says differently. remove the match times or at least write a note saying to ignore the match times and play ASAP. the "info" section is the place to put exceptions/modifications to the rules but there's nothing about ignoring match times

Fraud and fixing of sporting events are a criminal activity while maphacking is a violation of a game's terms of service. That they would have different consequences shouldn't be surprising.

Nony - I didn't realize you didn't even get to play your game! I would seriously be composing an e-mail to the powers that be over this. It's completely unfair to you.
