Man, the salt, the excuses, the downplaying, Koreans too proud to admit Neeb was better at a particular composition than them.
What a great day.

GG! Agreed that it was very entertaining. Don't really understand all the Disruptor-bashing, feels a lot better than the colossus era or mass tempest vs tempest to me but to each their own. Well done Neeb! That's kind of like saying dog shit is better than dog shit drowned in vomit and rancid donkey shit You're not wrong but they're all still shit watching the same composition run in circles shooting balls at each other for 20 minutes with units dying every 5 exchanges is an insult to starcraft oh rly?!! so how come TvT was so popular and was never hated then when it was just pure marine tank vs Marine tank and ZvZ with fuking ling bling wars or roach wars??! GG! I guess some don't really care too much about where people are born.
Let's do a TL search with your nickname and the keyword "foreigner" to see if you're one of these people.
Oh, I see plenty of posts demeaning accomplishments for having been made against foreigners.
I think I'm going to have a heart attack and die from that surprise!

GG! all you see is whining? wow Okay, not ALL But, c'mon, How was that awful and bad/boring games as so many were saying? Don't get it. I mostly see people congratulating Neeb on a great run that will undoubtedly make history. Oh, you can't see your own disruptor-hate? That's why. don't see how that's whining, and I never wrote that the games had been awful / bad / boring... Now that you ask it, what I saw was quite enjoyable and exciting because of the historic value. Doesn't change the fact I don't think disruptors do any good to the game and to players wrists in the end.
How's disruptors any different to players wrists than the rest of the game?

I was at the edge of my seat throughout the entire game with every hit having the possibility of changing the outcome of the game. How both players kept dodging the hits, knowing how on edge they must be in terms of scouting and having to deal with harass whilst making sure a sneak disruptor hit doesn't go off is amazing.

I almost wish Neeb didnt compete in KeSPA cup so that he saves himself for blizzcon. Imagine if this was his blizzcon run, now the koreans aren't gonna keep underestimating him and other foreigners anymore I guess.
Neeb proved that PvP is his best matchup, but I really do need to see him play against a good zerg/terran for once. Cause this cup looked too easy for him with all those disruptors winning every single match.

Roach wars were equally shit, pretty sure it was hated too
Marine tank is extremely dynamic and nothing like this disruptor blink poke bullshit so I'm not sure what you are getting at. I guess you have no idea either since you appear to be one of those people who run out of things to say and just call everyone "salty" for some reason. Oh this guy has a different view point from me! What a salty guy! Ha ha ha salt. Learn words and what they mean, maybe.
FYI I have no business in this korean vs foreigner crap. I just want fun games to watch in a hype grand final and apparently this is it.

Congratulations to Neeb for his victory, well played. Neeb has a deep understanding of the mirror matchup for his race, and abused the current meta in Korea. Because Protoss is slightly more popular than Terran or Zerg at the highest levels of the game, there's more to research for this matchup, and there's a ton of VOD's available for each player he was up against in the Kespa Cup. Because of this, he would have had a fairly straightforward path to researching each play style of each opponent and then developing the appropriate counters and tools. Therefore I can see how he won, even against very experienced players who arguably have better mechanics or more experience.
I believe Byun or TY could both have beaten Neeb, and TY handily. I also think Dark could have beaten Neeb in a best of seven. That's not how the Tournament played out, but if Byun or TY ended up facing Neeb, I think they would have countered his style and won.

Congratz NEEB!! If someone said that neeb would be a champion of a Korean tournament everybody would have said your crazy! Really impressive!! Great games!

I have been watching SC2 since WOL, the last game was as hyped for me as Taeja vs INnoVation on Akilon wastes, both games were legendary and the comps were exactly the same, yet no one was complaining nearly as much about marines and tanks compared to disruptors.

So in the end it kinda boils down to this ; personally, I can't really appreciate a strategy game in which 25 minutes can be ruined by one misclick or one time you looked at another place. Arguably, it happens with other things (widow mines hits for instance), but I never said I liked those things any more. But it sure creates entertaining games. So, do we want a comfortable game for the players that allows them to display actual strategic play, or do we like this every second ordeal aspect that is sure very intense to watch but excruciatingly hard and mentally exhausting for the players, resulting in games in which you'd rather make no glaring mistake than try to outthink your opponent ?
